I like ricochet hoppers. I seem to be alone in that. But I usually swap the weed ship paddles out for revvy paddles.

So what was the hopper that used a screw drive instead of a cone for feeding?
the eye force was solid, a vlocity without a fancy shell, ugly aesthetic, and affordable price.
I liked the valken vmax + I had, it was a great hopper for the 20$ I payed for it.
wasnt there a mechanical forcefeed hopper that was teased in the early 2013 timeframe. I assume the rip drive of a halo b without the electric motor.Comment

I think the mech force feed hopper you are thinking of is the Air Challenger M1.

That would be the one, just a little off on the timeframe. While I can see why it didn’t catch on, I kinda want one/wish it did. -
The M1 mechanical force feed hoppers are still available. They're manufactured and sold by VMech Sports. I've run them with autocockers and a couple of fast mechs like the Nova N3. Zero performance issues for me. In my opinion, they don't get nearly the attention they deserve.

I've three or four of these in a bin. Perhaps I should bring one out and give it a try.Lol. I saw the title of this thread and thought of the halo TSA before I even opened it.
But yes. TSA I think is the best agitator ever made and really got overlooked because it came out when force feeders were all the rage
Tilt sensor so it was always pushing paint up towards the feedneck rather than away.
2 size options
Led and lcd options
Magnetic lid so even if you don't have it closed all the way the magnets pull it closed. It even has another magnet to keep the lid open when you are reloading so it doesn't flop closed

I may have missed it if someone previously mentioned the HK "Sonic". It is Very lightweight, well balanced, decent feed rate and operates off a single 9v. Essentially a Pinokio "Speed" with a slower feed rate and different plastic.Comment

I owned the Vlocity which I think was popular for a minute. It was the ugliest hopper I have ever owned. But man, on a Pimp with a WAS board that thing could feed some paint. I always likes the Prophesy Z2's and had a few of those too. People didn't like them because of the nose cone but I never had issue with that. The Egg was ok but I couldn't stand the doors on them. My favorite weird hopper was the Pinocio with the nose cone. 400 rounds of fun!-------------

The Valken VSL was underrated. It had an expandable capacity, a low profile, and it never jammed. It wasn't the fastest loader out there, but it just worked. The only real issue I had with it is that the only available speed feed made for it sucked, so I just stuck with the rain lid.Comment

I'm a fan of the Vmax+. It doesn't feed nearly as fast as they claim but it'll keep up at 10bps just fine, it's robust, easy to take apart, and only weighs slightly more than a revvy. You can find good deals on NOS Vmaxs too. The lid is goofy though.
I wanted to love the TSA but I had a bad experience with mine way back when. It didn't even make it one game before the feedneck snapped. Seems great on paper.
I also ran a VL Quantum with motor removed for quite a while. Weirdly, the goofy feed ramp made for a tall ball stack and paired well with my 98 custom. With the motor is was dreadful. It was actually slower with than without.Comment

I like the sonic, but not for mech. I found myself outshooting it a couple times in a big game and it left a bad taste in my mouth.

The Valken VSL, or "Valken Switch Loader", the "switch " meaning you could switch it to use .50 cal, was a great loader. Modern looking and fed any kind of paint you could throw into it without ever jamming. Fed plenty fast for mechanical and all the tournament ramp modes. They were planning on making another version but that never happened. The speed feeds they came with were super soft and became annoying to use pretty quick.

Speaking of, I rock a Pinokio Speed on my mechs and it's great. Not at light as the Sonic, but still well balanced and feeds well enough for my needs.💀 PK x Ragnastock 💀Comment
