    Game changing moments...

Recall any AHA moments that upped your game?

Maybe it was a piece of gear, a word of advice, or a real world lesson in physics or psychology.

The static game is how you lose; pushing and moving forward wins the majority of the time.

Back in like 06 I was a sophmore in highschool. Me and my buddy went to the indoor field near us and were both using our newer guns, I had my Karnivor and he had this SWEET polished red 90* frame G7 Fly. Near the end of the day we traded off markers and I used the fly for the last game. This was back in the days of uncapped semi being common still, and it had a tiny bit of bounce to help speed up my slow fingers. I was having so much fun using that thing, that I ended up running across the field and doing my first run through on my buddy. I'll always be an e-cocker guy, but damn if I didn't go grab a used Angel after that .

Honestly watching myself on my helmet camera footage still teaches me a lot. Deleting many many games because of embarrassing moments taught me a lot. You can see with a lot more clarity after the game when you play it back.

Also. Back in the day there was a super well established local team " wild bunch" they would dominate games, and we're not fun to play against. But when we would do traveling games. We would play together as one huge cohesive group. I learned a lot dominating games with those guys. I still recall one time we were essentially squad marching the other team back to their spawn. It was in the bag and I was getting overly aggressive because I wanted to get a kill. I took 2 steps to the right to get an angle. One of the guys told me " dont over commit to that" one step back towards cover and we just kept steam rolling. I would have been shot out had I stayed where I was in that moment.

Don’t get shot, don’t play catch. Lol

Team cohesion helps. Speed pushing usually works, get out wide shoot in. Getting lost helps.

Everyone is just as scared/excited as you are. Get over it and run someone down.

Snap shooting is a workable skill. Might sound crazy but I like to pretend there is no bunker, try to see through it for angles, pop shoot, kinda see where the ball went, adjust a little, repeat, but using imaginary lines and angles through the bunker before the snap.

Reading about stuff helps, doing is where it comes together.

When going head to head, don't come out of a bunker the same place every time.

Shoot at what you know you can hit not at what you think you can hit.

                    1) I don't think it can ever be overstated, STRETCH & HYDRATE.

                    2) I'd rather pack too heavy than too light for gear & paint.

                    3) If you have that anxiety about going solo, try and ignore it or you will miss out on a lot of great opportunities to play & make new friends.

As a snake player when walking the field, from the positions you want to be at, look for landmarks above the bunker line that lets you know the angles so you can blind shoot. For instance, at NR paintball on field 2, when playing the snake from either side, you can use the poles that hold up the nets to position yourself before popping the top or blind shooting into the opposite corner D1 or D corner bunkers. For that matter, learn the angles for blind shooting and every couple of seconds or so, throw blind shots to those spots.

Stuff empty pods into the gaps under the corners tie down on the bunkers.

                      DO NOT GUN FIGHT!!!!!
Do hard things for fun. Being soft is for sissies. Being an asshole is easy, thats why everyone is one. Being stand up us hard. Be a hard bastard but be respectful.

Volume. I try to play every weekend and do drills every weekday. Playing every weekend lets you progress relatively linearly and reduces the adrenaline you feel when you play again allowing you to think clearly.

Drills and gun handling every day keeps the feel and shot of your marker fresh and familiar for when the weekend comes.

Other than that, live a healthy lifestyle. Showing up Saturday or Sunday not hungover puts you ahead of most. Lol.
