I need to borrow a Sterling!

Anyone have an original (non-Spyder-barrel-era) Sterling pump they want to loan me for a bit? Ideally I'd like to see two. I'm fitting a mod and have reason to believe parts of the one I was already loaned, may not be entirely stock spec. And as I intend to make a short run of them, I want to be sure it fits everything, not just this one.

Ideally, a clean and low miles one, but I can't be picky. I'll cover shipping if necessary, and might slip in something interesting when I return it.

No... I'm pretty sure that is a common problem among MCB members.

Found a nice Phantom last week. And I have less than a dozen markers, total... or so I thought. Anything else pops up, I'm gonna have to take off my shoes to count.

There's so many weird generational differences in sterlings. Just be careful of that pit fall.

I had an early first gen one years ago i kept some parts from that wouldn't fit into a later proline.

I keep everything in hoard piles, like a dragon. Money, guns, markers, machine tools, spare Ferraris...

          Organization is for chumps.

-That's exactly my worry, which is why I want to check several, if I can. Sterlings were very much early garage-shop guns, like Bud's first Snipers. If I was making one or two parts for a single gun, I'd just fit 'em to that and call it good. But I'm contemplating a short run for retail sale, and as such, I want to be sure it'll fit any- or at least most- Sterlings.

If your peepee is purple, you might want to loosen the hose clamp a couple turns.

Yep. It's not impossible to make a "one size fits all", though- or at least a "one size fits most".

Stand by, sir. I think I have a couple more coming- one for sure is in the mail- and hopefully that should cover the range. If for some reason all three are non-interchangeably different, we can go from there, but I think we're covered for now. Appreciate the offer!

It's rainin' Sterlings! Now all I need to do is convert them to liquid cash, get that ticket to extradition-free Rio, and live like a king for 7-1/2 minutes 'til it's gone.

Thanks, Gents. Stand by for updates.
