"Pack Mentality" What pack are you wearing for 2026?

I got tired of Elastic pod packs sliding down every time I run, and of feeling Squeezed on the field during long events. So I decided to go back in time a bit with the new set up.

For 2026, I'm trying out a Molle Battle belt, suspenders and a Rap 4 horizontal molle pod pack. Looking forwards to a season of comfort this year, and being able to run without holding my pack up with one hand. Also a Kriss single mag pouch fits a exalt squeege perfectly.

How is everyone else Carrying their in game gear. and anyone else gone away from elastic pod packs?

Interesting, I have the opposite problem. Mine always slides up my waist and turns into a corset.

I got 2 molle pod packs to wear on my vest. I mostly use it to carry pods for the MCS box mag. Otherwise, I use the JT/Twister pack. That thing with 6 straps is so tight it sometimes bruises me if my jersey under it wrinkles too much. But it doesn't move.

Well, I've got a belly, so no pod pack fits great. I'm still using an NXe Elevation (post-Tippmann, not original NXe).
Tried a few newer ones, but the overall lengths are shorter now, as in this example:

Looking forward to trying more stock class, just so i can go with a shell belt & pouches. While playing semi or open class, I just try to play hopperball.

I have a HK belt extender that I won't use. It's brand new but don't really have a use for it, so if you want an extender just pay shipping and it's yours.

The Last Snood oh, i don't need one, but thank you. The NXe pack fits fine, i'm not going to worry about packs until it falls apart.

Old School Unique Sports pod packs were, IMO, the best-made and most comfortable packs to wear for any length of time. The best ones were the ones that used "suspenders" to support most of the weight, so the "belt" could be worn comfortably without having to hike your pods up all the time. Their disadvantage was/is that the pod configuration was typically horizontal for 100-rd pods, so most stuck out a little to most people, increasing your target profile. After this weekend's play at a new field, I am thinking about bringing out one of my old school Unique Sports pod packs.

I got two BT Static harnesses on sale for cheap. Destiched the old rotted elastic waistbands from my 2 old horizontal 4 pod packs, and then merged the two. Very tight. Very breathable. The bonus is the belt is great back support.

Thats a cool idea to repurpose the older packs into an attachment!

Thanks! Like most things I prefer, horizontal packs are out of style.

When I came back to the sport I found a HK Zero-G2 for a nice price. Pretty comfortable and nice support for when I'm playing with the space gun.

But mainly rock my GXG with the 50 rounders for open class pump. Really like this one, don't need the 5 pods but still a real nice set-up.

I have a 2 pod PMI pack for 100 rounders and a shotgun shell belt for tubes too but the GXG is the go to. Especially when being the only pump out at rec ball.

I like my old school suspenders, but it does flop around when I'm shooting & moving. Love my black waist setup - it's stretchy and tight like a back brace

I use a Chinese chest rig that I got for $8. Absolutely the best “harness” that I’ve ever used. I’m never going back to a traditional pod pack. Big pockets fit pods perfectly, and little pockets are for micro fiber rags and barrel bags.

I usually run a GXG SC pack, all 10rnd tubes, because I'm almost always playing stick feed or small 40rnd hopper on a pump.

For the rare occasion I bring out a semi, I have a choice of either an old NXE 3 pod pack or an old Redz 4+3 that I cut down to a 2 pod pack. I hate using packs, generally.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

I just ordered the Kinetic 5+ pack. Their belt and anti bounce system looks good and hoping performs well.

Gonna mostly do the same thing I have been doing, for stockclass using leg drop tube holders.

For pods I also use leg drop packs. This consists of Molle leg drop things and a set of WTF Molle pod packs. 3 pods per leg.

Gonna try a vertical pack on my back again. But my shoulder limits what I can do there.
