Debating on buying a DW barrel for my phantom, and I am stuck between the two.
It sounds like the fibur might shoot itself clean easier, but the moab looks pretty cool. Cost is close enough that I don't care. I have an undercocking kit on the primary phantom so that doesn't matter. I've never been a sneaky player so sound tone doesn't matter. Honestly I am just hung up on which one would handle todays crap paint better.
Why a new barrel? I have 3 phantoms and only one barrel cut for 5" inserts, and one complete set of 5". I should have had more barrels cut last year when I got quotes but less shops are responding these days.
I do have some 8" inserts laying around so I figured why not snag a barrel for them; after all, my wife runs a sterling using 5" inserts so this way we don't fight over them.
I briefly considered the 8" phantom freak style back that gets listed on ebay, but by the time I buy that and a front, I am still in the $110 price range anyways. At least with the DW I can grab a phantom adapter and one for AC and use the same barrel for all my needs.
