There's a number I've never seen on my Chrono before.

Naturally, this is one of Super Nova markers

Anyone want to guess what the marker is?
As a hint it's not current

I had an Automag clocking at 426 at my field. 514 is insane. Hard to think a paintball could survive that blast.

The last time I used GI Sportz field paint it made ReBalls look brittle.

On my last weekend out at the field, they ran out of paint, ran into town to get some. Whatever they came back with, bounced off of the picnic tables like a superball. Weltz were made that day

I have had a rainmaker that could easily get into the 400s.

i dont remember what marker it was, but back in 04 I got bunkered with a marker shooting over 400 and still bear the scar from it.

Not sure I can believe 514- that is, as a reading. Those 'light break" Chronographs aren't the most reliable, especially under fluorescent or LED, since they flicker. (Though I'm told many have added 60Hz 'filtering' to the software.) Were you getting 480-500 multiple shots in a row? If that one was an odd spike, I'd say it was more error than actual.

However, can recall pre-ID Simon showing a high-speed video of a PGP, with a stub-breech basically soldered 90 degrees to the valve, and fitted with a clear glass/plastic barrel. The idea being to try and see how much- if any- distortion the ball sees on being fired. (This all being back at the tail end of the whole Smarty-Parts "wobbles like a water balloon in flight" bullcrap.)

As I recall, that monstrosity was shooting in the 450 FPS range, and there was no visible distortion of the ball.

          Doc.

It might not, I use reball for testing

It was hitting my catch bucket so hard that it was bouncing the other reballs out just from the impact on the bucket. I was moving rags with just the air from 5 feet away. I also have an incandescent bulb in a lamp directly over the choro for your concerns. When it doesn't read it gives an error message. That's why I put the lamp with bulb over it, I was getting constant error message before that.

Nobody has guessed what the marker is yet, not even the brand yet

I've been able to get a modified pro-lite going about 450 before. Is it a pro-lite?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a talon shoot half that

                    Something with a lazarus valve?
I had one in my gfs KP last, and the heat killed the old reg seat, sending 850psi instead of 240psi

I saw three shots over 500 fps on the big red chrono

Nope, wouldn't be able to put a laz in 99% of what this company has ever produced
