Complete and utter mayhem.
But really people were using revys and the electro guns were still making their way in. They were there but not up to the ROF wars yet. A lot of pros still shot cockers. I don't remember any ROF cap until Xball/NXL came along with 15BPS ramping.

I wish I could play back then, feel like I'd smoke most of these guys lol, even with all period correct gear. Don't get me wrong I love watching these videos from an aesthetic perspective though.

Just imagine how you could clean the field just by putting your tank into your shoulder and aiming down the gun like a normal person. It used to be wild just sliding around on astroturf wildly fanning the trigger and holding the gun upside your head.

I just don't know how anyone back then could have played paintball more than like 5 times, before realizing that you probably shouldn't hold a gun like that, or have a drop forward so huge you literally can't shoulder the gun without it smacking your face...
