By drop are you referring to the transition between the breach diameter and the barrel diameter? My brain doesn't comprehend so early in the morning.👍 1-

Cunha, thanks for the explanation but don't leave me on a cliff hanger! "The ball is dropped into the". The what? I wont be able to sleep until i know the answer.
If i understand correctly:
1. ball drop into barrel, bolt move forward to seal paint-feed-port before firing, bore drop.
2. Ball drop into breech, bolt push ball into barrel before firing, breech drop.
Is that correct or did i just go way of track?

No, I'm not.... but I changed the sub-forum you posted this in.
This is paintball related talk! You're a general chat sub-forum posting violator and I'll have none of it today.

Makes sense to me.
If the insert is smaller than the original bore, the bore becomes the breech.
Oh!
Or does it pertain to where the ball sits in the barrel when the power source hits it?
Phantoms the ball isnt fully in the barrel, its still partially in the breech. Thats why Mike made those rings.
So if the marker puts the ball fully in the barrel, is that what makes it bore drop? 🤔Comment
