It's bad when you can't decide whether to put your money into rebuilding a CCM Series 5, or a Pre2k Belsales Evolution....

At least you're starting with a physical object. Half the stuff I want to work on starts with "bandsaw a section of 1x2 aluminum bar stock to length..."

I'll attempt to sway your opinion. My vote is for the Evolution.Comment

To me, an Actual Evolution consists of both the aesthetics of the milling and annodizing the body, AND the work done to tune the internals and pneumatics to work together. Once you remove all of the internals and pneus you no longer really have an Evolution, but just an interesting Cocker body. A decade, or so, ago you may have had a chance to acquire the actual parts to rebuild the bare kit into an Evo, but now there is not a snowballs chance of doing so, or I will not have the time left in this life to wait for them to resurface. The parts are just not available. They have been lost in the morass of spares that are out there or have been thrown away.....
In 1995 they would not have used a "special" valve for an Evo, they would have hand tuned an existing WGP valve, and resprung it for efficiency. The same with the ram and switch. At some point they developed the Twister kit for a WGP Sledgehammer (try finding one of those). In the late 90s they came out with the Angry frame and switch.....
