    GI 3-star breaking in T2

Today I pulled out my T2 for a few games. I tested one paintball and put in my 681 FL back. During the game I had a barrel break. I swapped to the 685 back thinking it would be large enough (paintballs felt a little loose). I still got barrel breaks. At that point I gave up and pulled out my etha 3 with 693 bore and had no issues. This GI 3-star seemed pretty brittle and was breaking quite well on soft targets. I will be testing a few barrel and paint combinations in the next few days.

How brittle is too brittle? Does anyone else shoot GI 3-star with a pump? Just curious what i should be doing differently.

Shouldn't be breaking anything out of a pump šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

That's what I thought. Unless I really aggressively underbored, which I don't think I was with the 685.

Paintball quality has been abysmal at best lately.

I second this. I've been using an o-ring one size larger than the manual says due to how small pain has been.

Thank you for commenting because I didn't think to check the detent at all. Out of sight out of mind I guess.

Are you using a force fed hopper on your T2? I’m guessing you had double feeds since it shot fine out of a Etha.

Slightly Overbore and use these and never have paint issues again.

I second these. I have to comment whenever these get mentioned because they are just so good. I use them both on my autococker and pump and they work extremely well. It is a perfect solution to a problem and the material choice and the design is spot on.

So I got an update for you guys. As per NONOBLITUS recommendation, I swapped out my o-ring detent. And that seemed to do the trick. It shot fine with no issues, although I haven't used it in a game yet. But so far it's looking good!

          Thanks again for the help
