    Paintball YouTubers?

I am, of course, just trying to get my YT channel off the ground- not really shooting to 'monetize' it, but definitely hoping for a little more traffic- and a discussion over on the Guild made me realize I don't follow- or even know of- any other paintball-related channels.

And yeah, once I realized, I thought that kind of weird. I follow This Old Tony and Critical Drinker and Clickspring, I'll occasionally watch an Abom or two (his older stuff was better) or Diresta (ditto), check a few car channels, the occasional Clough video, etc. (In my defense, I don't have a lot of sit-and-watch time, and part of the reason I follow Tony or the Drinker is I can just listen to them in the evenings when I do a comic.)

I did a little basic looking, and there's a number of hardcore tournament channels definitely (mixed, of course, with a ton of airsoft videos) and a bunch of "shorts" channels (also with a heavy airsoft component.) I found a few tech-ish channels, and will continue to keep looking, but I figured it was worth asking here, too.

So who would you recommend as a good, regular PB resource? I have to admit I'm not overly interested with tournament results, or view-from-a-GoPro on-field play (it kind of sucks when you can't see the balls fly) but I'll give 'em a shot if they're well done.

Tech videos? Any one doing customizing/upgrades- more than just bolting on an aftermarket product?

    Doc.

Pump & Mech PB has some great videos both showing off cool pumps/mechanical as well as tuning and other good info. https://youtube.com/@pumpmechpb

Tinker's Custom PB, used to have more videos. https://youtube.com/@jburton03

Scrambled Eggs, a member here. Neat overvies and history of WGP markers so far. https://youtube.com/@scrambledeggs71

As far as I've been able to find there's no one aside from yourself that's still doing tech or build vids. I've found lots of stuff from 'back in the day' but mostly I find the more recent stuff is either tourney related or people showing off what they've built/modded after the fact, what I like to call the 'proof of life' vids, where they show that the marker they've built, usually for a client, fires and chrono's. Maybe other people have better google-fu than I do and have found some decent 'build vid' creators.

Yeah Brad is good, he's made some interesting videos and he does live streams on Mondays.

Sometimes that gets a bit rambling about nothing later on in the stream, but he does a good job of paintball "small talk" and he does do research into new topics from the week.

Doc, I have some miscellaneous content mixed in. Mostly builds for customers, but the occasional custom project.
At some point when i get some more free time, i will get back around to showing some other stuff.

I’m just a gopro guy. I am not a super technician or someone who has the means to review freaking everything. Also, I can’t stand the sound of my own voice.

I do at least tinker with my mask setup to make it so you can actually watch me shoot. It doesn’t always work out right because in the moment I usually focus on playing instead of keeping the view clear. It looks great with a stock class gun. I am finally getting to the point where I’m watchable, I think.

This one is a long one but I finally got a castle game recorded.

I agree with the others that there's not a lot of current-day tech tip, tuning videos out there now. A bunch of players at my field have no idea how to work on their markers (especially cockers) and it seems like qualified techs are becoming fewer and fewer, especially at smaller regions. In the Las Vegas area there's two main fields and one store, and between the three of them no one can work on a marker that came out any older than the last couple years.

Mark Davis is in the Vegas area and has been teching cockers for decades.
