Has anyone compared the PB Mafia (topstitch) 5/50 and the Warrior 50 round pack?

They look VERY similar - or even made by PB Mafia.

Anyone tried them both or compared them?

I have the PbMafia pack, but I’m not really sure why I bought it. I realized quickly that my 50rd pods would have fit just fine into any of the many pod packs I already own!

Some good info here in a thread i started.
Had a absolute hoot playing hopper ball against the full pod pack electros last weekend. Maybe its time to dive feet first into pump play, finish building my pump and give it an honest try. Looking for 50 round pod pack or low cap carrying options for sale. Thank you!

Yes. The PB Mafia is obviously the original, and not made in China like the ANS copycat version. Yes, it is more expensive but worth it.

The "Warrior" version some people have had no issues with. When I tried it (I think two of them actually), no matter the brand of 50 round pod, they fit way too tight in the pod holders which made the pack unusable.

So you might have luck and it will be fine, or just spend a bit more for the real thing and know it will work better (and probably last longer)

The only issue with them strapless packs is you need to use specific pods. Smooth sides won’t stay in them even if you keep the up something I wasn't willing to compromise on anyway.

This type otherwise they won’t stay in the pack. Downside to these pods is they hold slightly more then the other style “smooth sides” so they have a tendency to over fill most 50 round hoppers. You can add some High density foam to the lid tops to cut down on the capacity slightly that’s helpful. Or just pore a few out for your dead homies before you fill.

I sold my 5-50 don’t like the strapless design the ANS / China Knock off works but i found a way better option. I would definitely get the 5-50 over the knock off one if you use 50s regularly.

I end up building a set up that Holds 6 pods I’m really happy with when I need to carry more like a big game or something. Molle Duty belt some custom pod holders and a ratchet belt. It stays put and tight straps keep the pods from popping out on aggressive bumps. On and off is mechanical so no Velcro to go bad other then the pod straps. I have replaced the Velcro a few times on the straps over the years. Next time I’m using earth magnetics to secure them. But the duty belt setup is so comfortable.

90% of my play I use the $14 eBay packs that use straps to hold the pods in. They use to come with pods for that price too. But now they are sold with 140 round pods but they work like they were designed for 50s and you can’t beat the price. They last a long time I grabbed a bunch of them just to have in the future I liked it so much.

They are actually were designed to hold 140 /100 round pods but they make a much better 50 roundpack since the pod loops are short. It’s a nice tight lil pack the Velcro holds up good and the material is durable. My first one still holds pods great and it’s ancient in pack years. I got enough to last me the rest of my career at this rate.

My Dream setup would be individual molle 50 round pod holders magnet retention straps and put them on my duty belt setup with a 2” wide ratchet belt. So you could add and remove them as needed. Magnets and belt would remove the wear items completely so it would last forever. The wide 2” ratchet belt wouldn’t cut in when you crank down on the super comfy duty belt. It wouldn’t bounce at all and be silent when you pull the tabs to reload.

I have that one that says “TitTat” on it but mine never said that. I wish it had straps but other than that I have zero complaints. I’ve been using it for a few years now.

Yeah my first one I got did not have the TitTat stitched in it. The 2nd time I ordered them i got a hand full of them because they worked so well. They all had that stitched in them. When I got them they came with good quality 50 round pods that made the $14 purchase a steal. Those 50 round pods add up.
