Tank size you wish was still made

Since my loss of my walzmas 72/3000 ive really wanted another one (and other still legal big 3000 tanks). I Like my 45 tanks longer than a 68 but not much longer than a 90ci (ninja not dye). The big 100ci 3000 tanks i really want because im tired of having only 45s and typically either it dont fill much past 3000psi or they just don't have a 4500 compressor.

Anyone have a odd fav that just fit them perfectly?

Neat size. Length is kinda like a ninja 62/3000 i think. My friend who runs a 62 would like it Never seen a wgp tank before myself

56/4500. It's the biggest production size that doesn't require a periodic hydrotest in Canada.

Call me crazy but 68ci steel. Really compact albeit heavy.

16oz pineapple tank. They were tiny and fit perfectly on Typhoon with a duckbill ASA.

For me it's not the size but the shape. 4500 tanks nowadays are short & fat. I hate that. I want a 68/4500 that's longer-shaped like they were back in the 2000s, not the short/fat shape they are now.

This is what I want as well. I have an extension on mine. It feels better, but still not quite right. Not to mention tank covers that fit the new tanks are impossible to figure out. 68ci are too big, 45ci are too small. Nothing works. I like the real neoprene and rubber covers, not the silicone butt cover garbage like everybody sells today.

Brokeass_baller RIGHT?! I love the old full wraparound covers. The old Proto ones were my favorite. Soft & grippy but not so bulky like a Rhino cover. The rubber butt covers are garbage IMO. If you're gonna protect your tank then protect your tank.

100% agree, except I love the rhino covers. Lol. I know the tanks are robust, but I see people playing with cracked tanks and those stupid silicone covers like it's no big deal. Somebody is going to get hurt.

I just got a new 80/45. It feels just like my old PE 68/45. Even moved my old Angel Air socks over to it! Maybe I'll put super donk forwards on all my markers again just for the funsies and nostalgia.

Realistically, I suspect it would almost be worth one of the makers to produce a fresh run of the classic 3K/68ci fiber-wrap tanks. Make 'em the same size, length and shape, and to the new 5-year hydro specs.

There's thousands of the old 3K regs out there, especially the old hard-mount ones like Raptors and Flatlines, that players would love to use again. Heck, I've got like five Flatlines, myself.

I'll second that! Especially if someone could make them the "budget" option again and sell them for like $100 with a cheapo Ninja reg or something. A lot of fields still don't fill to a full 4500psi these days and the ones that do often don't get above 4k by the end of the day so 3k would be just fine and give a great budget fiber wrapped option for newer players.

Besides those old 68/3k tanks were good for half a case with a decently efficient gun. Don't need much more than that ever.

A 68/3k or /4.5k that is same diameter as todays 45ci tanks would be great. Or just any tank that diameter and longer. I agree with everyone against the fat tanks.

I also wish that 7oz and other skinny co2 tanks were still commonly available. Its a bummer to see only 20oz and sometimes 12oz co2 tanks.

I really liked the old empire 56/4500 tank I had. It was length of the 68s but narrower. Wish I still had and could use it. Was the perfect tank for my semi auto use. and with the modern light weight tanks a 56 could be awesome.

I don’t need a lot of air capacity myself as I just don’t carry much paint on field. So for pumps I love my 26/3000.

I also miss the 56/4500. They were hard to find even when they were being produced, and if you can find one now they tend to be getting close to the end of their lifespan.

I bought my 50ci for that reason but haven't had the discussion with a field yet because it's still in hydro... have you had to convince anyone yet?

I got one of my 45/45s filled at a local dive shop. It used to be beside Badlands Paintball in New West so they are pretty knowledgeable about paintball tanks. They filled my 45/45 no problem but asked if I could give them the regulations from somewhere other than Badland’s website. I did find another source and gave it to them.

Also, though 62cu (approx 1 litre) was the biggest size you could get without hydro.

No. My usual field doesn't even check tank hydros regularly. I'm also planning to do more outlaw ball, so again not an issue.

I am not sure on the actual dimension but I would love if my old nitro duck 68/4500 could work again no more orings would be nice

First Strike should make the 56 ci with that lifetime cylinder they make, that’d be the ultimate goldilocks tank!
