    [MOTM] August Automag

    August Automags!

I suspect this month will bring out some insane entries and I am EXCITED.

    Rules Week One:
Post up any marker you have that fits into the category.
    You MUST own the marker.
    One marker per person.
    One picture per marker.
A little detail on the build is encouraged, but not necessary.

    Week Two:
I will post up that Phase II is starting.
Each member may nominate one of the previously posted markers.
    You may NOT nominate yourself.
Each marker only needs ONE nomination to move on.

*For weeks one and two please keep all posts to pictures of your entry and nominations, week one and two, respectively. Comments on posts are fine, they don't complicate the contest any.

    Weeks Three & Four:
I will create a second thread labeled "[POLL]." This is where you can cast your votes and post anything you'd like!
You MAY vote for yourself here.
The winner of the poll will move on to the Marker of the Yearcontest on January 1, 2025.

    Additional Information:
If you win the monthly contest, you must STILL own the marker for the Marker of the Year contest. If it is sold, it will no longer be eligible for the contest.
You can use the same marker in multiple contests, as long as fits the category. (Probably doesn't really apply this year, since it's brands)

If you have any questions about the contest or about an entry you'd like to put in... Please feel free to PM.

I've been lenient about late entries up until this point because, at the end of the day, this is for fun.. but, PLEASE, have your entries in by the 7th, at noon (EST), each month! (Set a reminder!)

Finally, the contest for 2024 has already been laid out with categories, so you can all finish those projects, take those pictures and set those reminders!

    Let's gooooo!

It is a normal automag valve with a back half that was milled

Is that ptp trashcan milling on the back half of the valve? I have couple of them, but I think yours looks little different. Or it can be just looks so nice with the rest. They also did some battery packs with same milling.

The valve was done by Luke as far as I know. It was milled when I got the back half on AO back around 2008. I bought it because it matched the taso rail and ptp va.

I don't know if I've sent this out before so if I have you can delete it.

My STEN gun automag. Classic mag, cut for a side feed, mounted into a aluminum tube, with some surplus STEN parts on there. It uses TipX magazines. Right now it shoots roundball great but I am trying to make first strikes shoot better. I am having trouble with them rotating when going in the breach.

Okay...unless something seriously cool comes down the pike this guy has my vote. That is an awesome idea sir, and way outside the box.

Its been sitting at 80% complete for the past 2 years. Its 100% playable and a few of our locals can attest to its deadliness.I really should finish it up. It will be either powder coated or cerakoted.

Currently waiting for me to have some free cash for anno..

The Scarab.... Basically a duck body built to fit over a mag body. I repositioned the frame, made a new sear pin, tweaked a bunch and even freak bored a Carter barrel.

I don't have those grips... They are pre ban ivory.

Have a lot of custom mag builds, but my Z grip is still my favorite. If anyone was still wondering how to hold the thing, here's a photo of me fielding her at the NY WCPL last year.

Drunkscriblerian many people have mounted the tank with the rear upwards. There have been a few companies that make wedges tondo that. The latest I believe was Luke's customs.

          Retro-Futuristic 90s Classic Mag.

This gun is very much the crown jewel of my collection.

KCCockerDoc did the milling on the rail, the sight rail, and the vert ASA. He also beveled the bolt tip so it doesn't stack clip at all. I have litteraly never broken a paintball in this thing and our field paint can be sub 0.675 some days.

KMDPB Did the Anno and absolutely knocked it out of the park.

Dual Detent Doc's barrel adapter. Barrel is freak bored.
It does have a level 10 Bolt and R/T on/off piston inside. Frame is a meteor.

It doesn't "really" R/T, but there is definitely some feedback on the trigger that with very little practice let's you hit some absolutely insane rates of fire. Zero issues going toe to toe with modern mechs.

My Double mag is always a fun one. I built this back in 2010 or 2011. It’s a heavy beast for sure especially with two Boomsticks and two loaded revys.

              My Z Mag:
Lukes from the rail down, AGD up top. Easily the most comfortable marker I have, the sidekick paired with the z frame puts everything in the right place. ULT Xvalve makes it a breeze to shoot. Anodized by Ruckus, its exactly what I asked for. Pics can't do the color justice! My newest finished project. Gen5 Micromag with PTP inspired purple and gold ano done by Arc. BMC replaced the stock fixed feedneck with the removable clamping CCM STO feedneck.

It really is hard to post just one. Can we get more specific with these marker entry requirements. lol

                  Peter Kellett's personal Classic RT
Nickel plated with ano on top. This was truly a just because he could build then said it was too expensive to reproduce for others.

This one shows the colors off a bit better.

I've had several of the Ano over chrome RT rail sets. But never seen one with a matching frame.

Imagine how nice it would be with a low serial number. Did you know, the orig valves had the serial number lasered on the left side. Like mine, it's number 105.
