    [MOTM] November: Planet Eclipse

    November: Planet Eclipse

    October Free For All!
This month is for all you guys who messaged me about companies I didn’t include, your custom markers and/or markers you previously counter enter.

Yes, you can reenter a marker that you’ve previously entered.
No, you can not enter a marker that has previously won.

    Rules Week One:
Post up any marker you have that fits into the category.
    You MUST own the marker.
    One marker per person.
    One picture per marker.
A little detail on the build is encouraged, but not necessary.

    Week Two:
I will post up that Phase II is starting.
Each member may nominate one of the previously posted markers.
    You may NOT nominate yourself.
Each marker only needs ONE nomination to move on.

*For weeks one and two please keep all posts to pictures of your entry and nominations, week one and two, respectively. Comments on posts are fine, they don't complicate the contest any.

    Weeks Three & Four:
I will create a second thread labeled "[POLL]." This is where you can cast your votes and post anything you'd like!
You MAY vote for yourself here.
The winner of the poll will move on to the Marker of the Year contest on January 1, 2025.

    Additional Information:
If you win the monthly contest, you must STILL own the marker for the Marker of the Year contest. If it is sold, it will no longer be eligible for the contest.
You can use the same marker in multiple contests, as long as fits the category. (Probably doesn't really apply this year, since it's brands)

If you have any questions about the contest or about an entry you'd like to put in... Please feel free to PM.

I've been lenient about late entries up until this point because, at the end of the day, this is for fun.. but, PLEASE, have your entries in by the 7th, at noon (EST), each month! (Set a reminder!)

Finally, the contest for 2024 has already been laid out with categories, so you can all finish those projects, take those pictures and set those reminders!

    Let's gooooo!

    #1 with a bullet!

The first PEW-DW emek made by me.... The second body I sold off.

It is a fully SLS printed spring fed, side loading, fully auto, pistol. That is a 1 ci 4500 tank which will blaze through one feed tube at velocity aprox 12 shots

My Emek is not custom per se. But I have literally replaced every part on it except the back half of the can. It has the ID flat red ripper body and barrel, I also use the red CRBN barrel, Exalt back cap, extra grips front and back, Pops, Fang trigger with Liquid PB trigger shoe. Internally it has the DW v1 valve, Whisper can, soft tip bolt, spring removed, hellfire (not currently installed), blackout kit and it's on it's second frame. I used it last weekend and it still just rips!

Eclipse CS2 - “Combat” color scheme that I purchased new a few years ago.

I know MCB generally isn't into newer space guns, but this has really been an outstanding marker for me. 10/10 would recommend it to others.

        My own Emek entry, and I run what I call a 'modular Emek system' (I'll explain below);

So my official entry is my built-up Emek, with: FLE body kit, Inception Designs Stella PWR barrel kit, I.D. Fang trigger, Deadlywind hAir valve, PE Pops ASA, and Exalt back cap. I use the stock bolt but carry in my toolkit a SSC soft-tip bolt as a back-up. Had it for 5 years now and it is one of my favorite markers ever. At big games no one will ask me about my high-ends, but I do get comments about that Emek.

As for the 'modular' concept, I own a second Emek. It is completely stock, except for an HK Rapid Fire valve, the EMC body kit and a J&J barrel. I use it mainly as a loaner. What I often do is that I bring both in a single carrying case, and I switch parts as needed according to the set-up I want. For instance, yesterday I switched the stock bolt assembly from my FLE Emek to the EMC Emek (so it would not fire full-auto) and loaned it out to a kid. I just added a PAL loader, and coupled with a cheap 48ci tank, plus that J&J barrel I obtained on the cheap, I have a loaner set-up that can be banged-up. Sometimes I use that set-up myself in low-key games when I want to switch from my pump guns.

Then, if I want that understated EMC "milsim" look but with full semi performance, I swap the frame and bolt assemblies from the FLE Emek to the EMC Emek; I use the Stella PWR kit with a black Stella front and a Spire loader. I can also make my FLE Emek full-auto by using the frame and bolt assembly from the EMC Emek, etc. You get the idea, it is really modular.
        Playing the game since 1990

I do remember seeing adds for complete markers in an old magazine we were flipping through at Slims last fall. But I’m not sure if they just put a splash kit together to sell complete or not.

2k Planet Eclipse autococker in Factory original Magma fade. I've seen others call it a tequila sunset or sunrise, but the original ad called it Magma.

The original ergo reg was too heavy for rec play, so I switched it for a cp reg. BMC was unable to freak bore the original pmi barrel due to it being "off", but I still wanted to use it for rec play so I had him turn it into a really long dye threaded tip for my freak bored dye back.

Sl1m, an old UK seller known for his belsales and eclipse markers, sold it to me several years ago.

Normally I'm actually not much of an eclipse fan. Their new stuff is too boring and the old stuff is too expensive.

That being said, I did manage to find an eclipse earlier this year that managed to fit my increasingly specific tastes and limited budget. It was completely disassembled in a box of parts on Facebook marketplace and the seller did not know if it was possible to get it working again or not.

Gave it the regular B2k tuning & mods I normally do, and oh ya, this thing still absolutely rips. It's the furthest thing from a wall hanger. Random fact: The Eclipse B2k is the lightest of the private label B2Ks that were made.

Here it is set to 11 BPS pure semi auto. Hopefully a shooting video doesn't violate the one picture only rule.

That's a marker that is still on the "never had one, still want one" list.

                    That and a bonebrake bushy.

Ya, I couldn't believe I actually landed this one when it came up for sale. It's definitely been rode hard, it's completely covered in scratches and idiot marks (and that definitely help the price a lot), but damn it shoots so freaking nice.

Since acquiring this, my big remaining B2k unicorn is a Zenitram Venom. One day I'll find one...
