Throw some suggestions in for the 2025 MCB Marker of the Month contest categories. I don’t want to do companies/brands two years in a row.. give everyone time to get new stuff for 2026, maybe.

I'd like to see a category for most original and complete. This could include a non modified marker in its factory form and accessories such as original box, manual, receipt of purchase, etc.

Oh any any version is fine I was just throwing out examples. But when I was thinking electro to mech I was more thinking like turning intimidator into a mech marker or something like that

Best history of marker, so like a history of why a marker is significant. Give a chance for special markers that aren’t flashy/ expensive.

How about a month for how many of the same marker? Inspired by the recent DP E1 color wheel

I think it would be pretty sweet to break it up by release year.

Example: Favorite marker from 1996.

It could have parts on it from before/after 96, after all parts just mean it was good enough for someone to update later, but it would have had to have been available on the shelves in stock form in 1996.

So that could mean a 96 Cocker, a Tippmann 68 Carbine, an Automag R/T, etc. so long as it was released in 1996, it would be fair game.

This would be pretty cool because each month could be a kind of snap shot of what was actually on the field, competing against each other at that time. People could vote on what they thought the best gun was that year, the most popular gun from that year, the most influential gun of that year, the gun they just plain old like the most from that year, etc.

It would also give a lot of these machines more perspective and help document timelines better.

Some of these are good. Some of these are good with some tweaks… a handful of these are great ideas, but just wouldn’t garner many entries.

I’ll get next year’s list up by 12/15.

One idea that occurs to me; a stacked-tube blowback contest. Most people have at least one kicking around in their collection and there are a lot of brands to choose from.
