    [MOTM] September - 3d printed/Plastic marker sls

September: 3d Printed / Plastic Markers

Feel free to include markers fully built in plastic or with plastic accessories.

Yes, you can reenter a marker that you’ve previously entered.

No, you can not enter a marker that has previously won.

    Rules Week One:

Post up any marker you have that fits into the category.

    You MUST own the marker.

    One marker per person.

    One picture per marker.

A little detail on the build is encouraged, but not necessary.

    Week Two:

I will post up that Phase II is starting.

Each member may nominate one of the previously posted markers.

    You may NOT nominate yourself.

Each marker only needs ONE nomination to move on.

*For weeks one and two please keep all posts to pictures of your entry and nominations, week one and two, respectively. Comments on posts are fine, they don't complicate the contest any.

    Weeks Three & Four:

I will create a second thread labeled "[POLL]." This is where you can cast your votes and post anything you'd like!

You MAY vote for yourself here.

The winner of the poll will move on to the Marker of the Year contest on January 1, 2026.

    Additional Information:

If you win the monthly contest, you must STILL own the marker for the Marker of the Year contest. If it is sold, it will no longer be eligible for the contest.

You can use the same marker in multiple contests, as long as fits the category. (Probably doesn't really apply this year, since it's brands)

If you have any questions about the contest or about an entry you'd like to put in... Please feel free to PM.

PLEASE, have your entries in by the 7th, at noon (EST), each month! (Set a reminder!)

    Let's gooooo!

One of my carbon fiber minimags with a prototype Riot Rail. The production in aluminum has begun and they should be for sale shortly.

This is the result of Riot asking what the lightest rail is I could design and have made.

Designed specifically to help create a superlight automag. It has a carbon foregrip mount built into the rail. Mounts ULE bodies only, is contoured to match AGD carbon frames. 2 oz for the rail and foregrip cap in aluminum.

Many of you have seen this one and I've recently reacquired it. This is Obsidian and it is a Trracer Tagmaster/ACI Hornet with the very elusive Drop out changer valve body (used a garden hose threaded faucet cap to make a fatter knob for it) BOA brass barrel, Doc's Machine Trracer Spacers, Free Dummy 3d printed Barrel detents, WWP Razorback frame, Mongo one piece Phantom feed,Shapeways Carter style Feedcap,AR-15 Target grip, and a one of kind prototype ReconSWS Colt .69 Reconslide (and matching muzzle break) with a bracket on it specifically made for a Phantom feed tube. Since the slide was originally intended to work with a Phantom I had to make a special block to allow for it to work with this marker.

Arthur It takes some getting used since it functions like a Desert Duck.... Once you get used to it it's a breeze. It points really nicely, kinda makes you feel like Robocop when you hold it lol

        Western Woody Phantom
After snagging a wooden-sleeve barrel from Sheepdog and mating it with the wooden right-hand grip I had, I asked the question "how much wood can we get on here?".
To be honest, I've seen better wood-fill PLA but I had an assortment pack of mini spools kicking around.
        • Pump kit and edited feed were source files from Rainmaker
        • Trigger Shoe
        • Island Style Drop Forward

(plastic bodies, very brittle, very weak plastic)

Matched pair of Brass Eagle “Eagle 68” pistols
Filled in all empty spaces inside with Epoxy Steel (lots of it), to reinforce the weak plastic bodies
Removed self tapping screws and used machine screws and countersunk nuts (filled in holes)
Sanded down body graphics (left "Eagle 68" intact)
          Body painted light textured black
Painted grip panels textured tan (to look like separate wood grip panels)
All new o-rings, and lubed properly (Brass Eagle originally recommended transmission fluid!)
          CO2 plug painted black
          ~285 across the chrono
          (Also have 12 loader tubes)

I’ll throw my hat in the ring with a good old ACI Maverick with a ReconSWS slide. Has some freedummy detents too and I forget where I got the feed from.
