Awesome awesomeness bringing it back to the woods. Where it started let’s see those OG markers come out Mechanical rocks. Like the old days Autocockers vs automags

Love how all the prizes consist of the ability to come back and buy more paint

I noticed that too. I'm wondering if there's some bigger cash prizes for winning the series maybe? It makes sense if that's the case I guess.

They moved a few years ago so it's not the same field.

Same staff though so they still have the same safety problems which is why I won't go back

That's a bummer. I met the kid that runs it and he seems nice and well intentioned albeit a little overwhelmed. lol. Hopefully he gets some extra help out there this summer; it would be a sick field. I would show more often but coming from up north, i may as well hit Impact since there's always people playing.

It's not about help, it's been a systemic problem for years. The first time I went, masks off on the field became the norm as the day went on, nobody was ever asked to Chrono, refs even had virtue clocks they were wearing as $300 necklaces but not once did I see one used.

I wrote a Google review the owner even replied to it saying I must have confused his field with a different one in the area (which is what he does on most negative reviews) I edited my review saying no I know which field I was at and he removed his comment

I asked people here about the field and a horror story was the result. Apparently during a large event at their field a player was having vision issues, I don't remember if it was fogging or paint splatter but a REF came over to them, on the field with paint flying and took their mask off. Members here took it onto themselves to act as human shields to protect the mask less player. Insane. That wasn't the only story just the worst one

I went back a few years before they moved, decided to give it another shot, maybe the first try was a fluke. Nope. Same stuff, nobody checks or cares about Chrono speeds, very lax about masks. At one point my group wanted to play the speedball field, there were 3 refs standing around the rental shack so I asked them if someone could ref a few games on the speedball field, their reply was "oh you don't need a ref for that field"

                      Just pointless staff

If you want a good field in the area come out to Royal ridges. They only play 1 game a month, 3rd Saturday of the month. The staff is really good, they have 4 fields and are working on a 5th and it's cheap. $20 field fee, bring your own paint or, I think it was $60 cases. I need to make a thread for it anyway I'll tag you

Damn, those are egregious safety violations! If I see a mask come off during a match I call an end to the game and I'm not even a ref. When it comes to safety EVERY PLAYER HAS THE RIGHT AND ABILITY TO STOP A GAME WHEN SAFETY IS IN QUESTION. This is my manta at work and with everything. I won't play a field with lax safety rules, ESPECIALLY when it comes to masks.

Lmao. This was exactly what i saw as i drove into the new field for the first time. All of them huddled around the fire with two dozen airsoft kids running around.
Thanks for the heads up anyway.
