The basic engine of the Raider is essentially a Gog eNMEy, a gun that technically did beat the EMek to market.

There's 2 problems with this though and I don't think having a battery is one of them since you can run it in mech mode

      1) they would have had to make the crossover... Good. I'm not saying it's bad, there's just enough things about it that are not good that it never caught on. I own one and thought for sure I would like it. I don't Ave an currently selling it. I thought,
It's basically a modern e-mag and they even removed the sear. But after shooting it, I think the sear coming out was a bad thing. The trigger feels a little... Mushy. And it has slop. Ave not enough adjustment. The frame is meh comfortable, you can't mount your own asa to it without a block off plate that tippmann no longer sells and their solution to putting a on/off on it made the ASA even longer. Plastic feedneck? Really? A5 threads? Their solution to that was not to start threading the bodies in AC, it was too include an adaptor. The current crossover, the xvr, is what the first release should have looked like and had refinements from there but they tried to pay catch up after they were losing interest and that never ends well

      2) there was a mech only phenom before the emek. Really though, when the crossover had the name tippmann on it, that's where a ton of people lost interest. I really think they should have made a second company to handle their "speedball" stuff. Don't try to put everything under the same umbrella. Spin off tippmann speedball like luxe did from sp.

        Watched the Defcon paintball video.

        This thing really is weird.

So did anyone ever buy one of the new ones? I'm tempted but the ones the field got wouldn't feed too great.
