Got my smoke revvy in today. Shells are great, similar to the pre-BE translucent VL ones. Similar to gmo, the battery connections on mine are stiff and 9 volts are a tight fit.
I tested the feed rate against my other two revvies. My original 12v averaged about 7.5 bps, the new revvy ran 9, and my x-board ran 9.8. Unlike the x-board though, the new revvy motor seemed somewhat anemic, pulsing and straining to feed with a fuller hopper.
One glaring issue I found was with the eyes. When I loaded it up on my m170r, it would spin almost constantly without any paint moving unless a ball was dead center in front of the eyes. I took it apart and found that the eye sensors were recessed in their housing. By comparison all of my older eyes have the sensor ends protruding slightly into the neck, giving a better field of view. Replacing the eye sensor with an older version fixed the problem. But what a stupid thing to have to do with a brand new loader.
So my initial impression is that the shells are nice but the guts are junk. I’ll probably end up just throwing my x board in it.
