Late October is the tentative release date however Scott is adamant about insuring that this release is not a repeat of past mistakes. Approximately 100 markers will be available in the first run with more to come. Final price has not been determined but the plan is to offer different Ano options than what was initially posted. There will be a fore grip option according to Scott as well. They are not going to rush this thing to production they plan on testing each and every marker that goes out to insure that the product is 100% functioning. More Launchers on the way with new accessories too. After talking with Scott I’m excited to get my hands on a Phoenix. More announcements to come. But I will say this, get your butt to AG paintball on September 24-25th. 😉
If only it wasn't on the other side of the country... Exciting news about the launchers though. On my list of gear to acquire for next year.

Scott has a plan to get the marker to Slims game for some stock class time! He's sending me some shipping info and I should be able to get it out Monday.

I have shot the new Phoenix and talked for many hours with super squirrel about it. It is looking good, and there is a lot of potential there! I will try and post pics tomorrow and can answer questions if someone has them.

I think they would be better off without the internal line. The adjustable grip frame seems like more issues than it’s worth IMO. Cool concept but if they offer one without it I would go that route. I would definitely like to see a standard Vertical ASA. With a hard line like the CCI phantom. I think it would not only make it easier to manufacture but less prone to problems. Users can then put their own grip frames on it as well. They could offer a simple bottom line kit as an alternative. The ingrip macro dose not like to be moved or the on off pressure of CO2 carts.

I would like to see it optimized a lil better for Stock Class. While I know it’s an afterthought I think a large portion of their customer base would like that. Especially considering there aren’t many in the game now.

From what I understand the reach on the side paddles are going to be shortened up from the test marker. I think that’s a good call. It would definitely be better for ergonomics and handling. Also they are going to have a different way of attaching the two pump arms. I think that’s a good call.

Interested to see what the final version will be. Excited to get a revised version.

As far as watching it in action.... Ouch.

I still have faith, but from what I witnessed... that was a rough,

redsquirrel - Not well, I can’t. Not sure how many games in it was, and I’m not even sure what happened, but after a player swapped it early game for his own marker, I saw the marker on the side lines. One 12g in it and it just pissed out ..somewhere. I wasn’t holding it and I don’t want to speculate where. A second 12g was inserted to the same conclusion.

That said, I don’t want to poo-poo them over this. It is, after all, a beta test to work out the kinks before release. And, as mentioned above, I really liked the feel and cocking of the marker. If they can work out the kinks, I’ll buy one.

I kinda of disagree with you on the grips. I was worried that the grip would be flimsy and the first dive would kill it but it seems substantial and like it will hold up to a good days beating. I have asked to take the marker to a speedball practice and super squirrel has said it can go be a snakes marker for the day. I understand why they made the grip adjustable which is to allow for different hand positions depending on how you like to shoot. If they were to offer 2 grips a 90 and 45 option to maintain internal air they would have to modify an existing grip or manufacture 2 complete grips they would need side panels, etc and then if you sold it the new owner would need to buy the other one if they wanted to hold different. If someone wanted to use their own grip and maintain internal air that grip would need to be modified and could be hurt while doing it. With all that said if you are a 45 person you will keep that at 45 the entire time, if you are 90 person you will keep it there and making it adjustable adds parts that could go wrong. Until it survives play I will keep my mind open.
I get the feeling that the internal air was to try and reduce the issues with macroline that are common on external macroline. I am sure it was much more complicated but it seems like they turned the ASA so the air was coming out of the top, drilled a hole through the handle and turned the valve to accept air from below it and ran a macroline between the two. Of the internal air I have seen this one gives the best off the shelf feel.

I agree about some of the customer base but not all of them. I think with the current trend of showing stock class players having a lot of fun playing against rentals and other players will make sure and bring more players around to stock class but field owners are always going to want to have the spray and pray mentality in paintball, since that sells more paint and makes them more money.
As a counter point I think that sub 500 to me is an entry level marker and entry level should be aimed at a wider range of players not just stock class pump but pump in general. If they were to have a stock class option that was tuned for efficiency with CO2 and really CO2 in general that might be something to consider.
The problem as I see it is stock class itself, the way to get into stock class is usually play with it growing up (most of those players have good stock class markers from yesteryear), grow tired of wasting paint move to pump get tired of wasting that much paint and move to stock class to save more on paint (buying a new marker to save money does not always make sense in that situation).
Have a friend who plays stock class take you with them to an event, you enjoy it and want to play more (a portion will want a new SC marker others may buy the friends extra) Final way in my opinion is to enjoy paintball, want to explore every faucet of the game, discover stock class and enjoy that version most. (these players would be the market for that marker) I am sure that there are other ways to start enjoying stock class but those are the ways I can see. I am also not saying that any person who enjoys stock class could not or would not buy a new SC marker but let be honest here would they? With Phantom having a monopoly on that market since they are the only modern day SC maker I would wonder how many a year they sell?

From what I understand the reach on the side paddles are going to be shortened up from the test marker. I think that’s a good call. It would definitely be better for ergonomics and handling. Also they are going to have a different way of attaching the two pump arms. I think that’s a good call.
Everything you say here was told to me as well. The ergo will definitely be better with shorter side paddles. The pump arms are currently press fit, the new one will be screwed in.

Interested to see what the final version will be. Excited to get a revised version.

I’m not concerned about the grip breaking. I’m more concerned about the fact it’s a 30min process when those fittings leak. They will on HPA and they will definitely on Co2. Also not asking for two different opinions pick one make it reliable. Macro flexibility is guaranteed to be prone to leaks. Again my opinion I already got one on order. If it’s got that type of line I’m modifying a different grip and hard line for mine100%. It’s will be first order. Maybe a braded hose would be a better option.

I shoot the Phoenix over at the field put probably 200 shots through it with me shooting and others shooting and it shot every time. There were some issues with it like you would expect from a prototype but it worked. I have informed super squirrel about the issues and they will be addressed. I plan on taking it out to the field as many times as I can and if anyone is near Boise and wants to go with me let me know and I will take you with me.

Idk why but seeing on the up close pics is starting to give me ano/theme ideas.... I'm thinking Cyberpunk for this one.

Definitely in for one of these as soon as they are out. But I can definitely see how a front grip for one of these will be super useful.

Similar design, thumb paddles, push back like a Splatmaster, or pull the barrel to cock.

Ok, I'm intrigued. I liked the concept of the Thumper, so I might try Metadyne again.

With the front asa deleted and the forward location of the feedback, this could potentially have room for a tipx magfed setup (with a new body of course).

The end goal according to Scott is to have a couple different models mag fed being one of them.

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great Christmas. After months of testing and making adjustments our first round of markers are back from the anodizer. Our first run is a small batch of 100 markers. I will be making them available starting today at 12:30 mountain time. We will be shipping them out starting later this week as they are assembled and tested. I will be test shooting each marker at least 100 times before I box them for shipping. The way our site is currently set up I have had to break the markers up into categories based on the feed options available. I have to adjust stock on the fly so if the setup or color you are looking for is showing as out of stock send me a quick text to 208-389-0014 and I will see if i can get it updated. We WIll have two versions of this marker. The current design and we are working on vertical asa which we will have in our next run that we are making now. Please let me know if you have any questions.

                Scott

So I noticed after ordering mine they are hpa only so not really stock class.
is a true stock class one coming out later ? If so I’ll have to order that one also.

that’s what I get for not double checking the specs.

either way gunna need to order a vasa model when they launch assuming all goes well with the first one.

Supposedly the reason for the VASA version coming later is that the VASA version is supposed to handle CO2 better.
