Has anyone seen any movement on this marker? I thought it was going to happen around June and I know there there were some markers made.

      Nothing yet.
I've read some speculation that they may be having a hard time getting a gun with an injection-molded breech to chamber First Strikes correctly.

$220 was what Gino was saying this past summer, but that was months ago.

Hell yea, I figured between the internal airline system and the tendency of companies to overcomplicate things it wouldn't be so simple. I don't think I've seen the internals yet to be honest

The Blackhawk is almost a 1:1 copy of the BT4 Combat. MCS makes a pump kit for their BT4/Blackhawk magfed conversion (MCS Bolt). The most difficult part would be cutting the shroud off and making a channel for the pump arm to connect to the bolt (in the hole where the hammer linkage normally is).

About DAM time we had an industry standard magwell design. Great to see. With three brands using it I think we can say this is the standard now.

My honest opinion though is that inline stocks are a horrible experience and shouldn't be the default. They'll sell better out the gate because milsim, but those players may be less likely to stick with PB longer term because of how much they suck to use. A decent M16 looking plastic riser with ironsights built on would be a good compromise.

I hate the length of blowbacks so I'd much rather the EMF100, but that's more than twice the price (more than $630 USD in NZ).

And yet we can't have a standard ASA mount

Well, we did, two 10-32 screw holes .75" apart. Simple, sturdy, infinitely adaptable. Darn it if I know why anyone wanted to not have that.

Of course, it was originally 1". Then two staggered metric holes... then whatever the hell the Black Dragun Compact was doing.

Like I get that the industry wanted to go to hoseless markers but why can't that mount be standardized? Why can't the regulators be standardized again?

I know there's lots of reasons for paintball's decline since the mid to late 2000s but I just look around at the complete lack of aftermarket parts and wonder if that's one of them. Lots of people like customizing markers but the manufacturers currently have to make parts that are specific to 1 marker. That really cuts down the profit margins or really jacks up the price and therefore a lot don't try. If they could say make 1 ASA or regulator and have it fit 10 different (current) markers, that helps them sell a lot more without needing specific designs or tooling for each

Wellllllll, do we want to go back to using a hose? I dunno about y'all, but I'm getting used to the internal hose setups we have nowadays. And there's still plenty of paintguns that use the inline 2-hole pattern.

There's advantages & disadvantages to either setup. But if this means less maintenance (read: things to screw up/damage) for a newer or even semi-regular players then it's fine by me. Don't get me wrong- there are many good reasons to still teach newbies how to maintain other setups. But if it's easier to operate & care for then that's one less barrier to entry.

As for this marker, I want one to review. I will get one to review. I will do a review & post said review. The prospect of a (hopefully) reliable FS shooter for around the $200USD mark really grabs my attention, and it should for anyone else looking to get into magfed w/o splurging for an EMF-100.

Completely unrelated to the ripsaw but I see horseless as completely pointless. I've never gone "oh boy this sure is cumbersome with a small piece of macro line on my marker." I genuinely think it's popular currently just for looks

lizardking132 I disagree with you a little on hoseless as pointless. When I see a macro line on a marker I will admit that i see the maintenance issues that are involved with macro line. Chiefly if the person who cut the line does not use a cutter or sharp enough knife to cut the line, the line will leak at the fitting sooner or later.

lizardking132 I used to agree with your thoughts on that, until I got my Emek. I have since been noticing how my lines catch on my hands, or if I'm on my belly, etc. And if I whack a hoseless marker on something I'm not as worried about damaging anything. An air line isn't that cumbersome, but it's another thing to keep in mind. Steel braid not so much, but definitely with macroline. I have only one paintgun with macro, while the rest have steel braid or are hoseless.

There's room in the market for both designs.

I want to see more refinement in hoseless design. The one reason I haven't bought an LV2 yet is because of the front-to-back thickness of the trigger frame.

Anyone keeping an eye on this still. I saw where it was going to debut at NXL but now that I look at the page for these it is giving me a 404 error and saying that the page does not exist.
