    Valken Ripsaw

Alright which one of you left their Dye Dam and Tippmann 98 alone for to long without protection?
In truth this Ripsaw looks like it could be something fun, they do not say it outright but it looks like it uses Dam mags, it has a dual feed and it is cheap. Click image for larger version

Can you swap feeds on the field or does it involve parts swapping?

seams interesting, but is that another TMC?

For the price I would imagine that it is only off the field that you can swap it. I see on the first picture they use something like the EMF 100 mag that slots in that allows you to use the feedneck.

I'd say the ripsaw is better for a few reasons

          1) it can fire FS. Tmc can't

          2) cocker barrel

          3) they moved the weight balance back. This is always been one of my gripes with the 98 platform the weight balance is so far forward that most Young new players can't even properly shoulder a tank because the weight is way too far forward at that point

The CAR stock that replaces the end cap is a design that has gotten so much mileage despite being completely incompatible with paintball goggles.

The issue I see with this is that the rear offset bolt will make the backbottle stock configuration useless because of length of pull.

I will still probably buy one. I really liked my TMC, but the proprietary roundball only mags were a major downside.

Agreed. The TMC was goofily long with a back bottle 13ci. And it looks like Valken is planning on a back bottle 26ci too.

I would think the "drop stock" style popular with the speedsoft airsoft crowd would be a better solution to put a backbottle on a Tippmann-based gun.

...although the better solution is to eschew a stock altogether.

For what it's worth the TMC is also built with the trigger transfer bar, as are most new Tippmanns since the Gryphon like the Cronus, Stormer, and FT-12.

But yeah, on the whole the Ripsaw appears to be a product improved version of the Stormer Elite.
