    Huben Power regulators?

    I stumbled on these trying to Google search Center Flag Regulators, as I found an old center flag reg in my box of hoard.

    Anyone hear of these guys? They are more of a PCP reg company, and it looks like most of their stuff is pre order yet, but I'm genuinely curious as to how their bottle regulators look inside conpared to the other manufacturers.

    I haven't heard of them, but what info are you needing fir the Centerflag reg?

      I was after a diagram. I pulled the piston and spring, but I'm not seeing how to get the pin assembly out to look that over.

      I was after the inline grip style hpr actually, but it seems the reg top is likely a spot it should split in the middle. Mine must just be stuck together

      According to the archives, that high pressure inline has an output range of 200-700psi. Now, what I don't know is whether it takes a swap to the purple spring to get into the low end of that range... but it's safe to say your max will be about 700psi.

        Per this the operating range of the hp spring is 200-700, and the lp spring yields 90-250!

        I thought the same at first, but I'm not so sure about that. The diagram for the 90-250 model calls out a different part number for the spring than the purple spring from the hp unit.

      Now I feel like we should change the thread as a whole.

      And it looks like the center flag reg is worth the rebuild huh.. I yanked is off whatever craigslist gun I bought years ago thinking it wasn't a performer.

        Yeah, the thread topic has drifted...

        All the Centerflag stuff I've used seems to be really good quality. If your 'inline pin" is in good shape it's definitely worth a rebuild. These pins were a custom part and aren't available anymore. They are made out of something special. The good news is they don't seem to degrade with age like o-rings do. Doc has talked about doing a run of them at some point, so don't trash the reg yet if your pin is messed up.

        According to this the spring (#100-1611) in the 90-250psi reg is the same as the high pressure spring in yours. So perhaps there is a difference in piston diameter. I have one of the low pressure inline in my stash of old school goodies. I might have to open it up and see what's in there.

        *edit - Looking closer now and notice the reg pistons are different part #'s, so they probably are different diameters.
