I was all on board for an Orracle but the price in the most basic configuration is nonsensical to me. Then the cost of anno and all the little bits and pieces needed to finish it. I understand it would be a full custom marker pretty much at that point but come on.

I do like the idea of the lower tube so you can use whatever valve size you choose, that a cool twist but that alone does not justify it to me.

I'll pass on $700 body. Brand new old stock orracles were $175 recently. And 'limited' run just got extended it looks like.

They did some updates on it but not to warrant the price IMO. I don’t think they are going to sell as well as they think. Ano is so expensive now that’s a big cost factor.

Gene has been replying to all the comments about pricing on Facebook explaining the cost. I get it. If they had the capabilities to produce thousands, the price to us would be a lot lower obviously

I'm not the target audience, but I would like to offer my $.02. Sure these are expensive, but the prices are competitive for the market of small run autocockers. A blank body from Mozak is 200, with others running up for $325, a frame is $160-200+ and I consider that reasonable too. A meteor kit is 600. Building a cocker from scratch and raw parts has always been more expensive than buying a marker from a company capable of mass producing thousands and thousands of markers.

I wish them luck.... I'll pass though, I've always considered those bodies to be more than a little unattractive...

The fact that you can still buy them kinda shows that the pricing is off. I think that the miss is including a grip frame and not making it an optional add on.

The F6 Twisters were $600 and sold out almost instantly. I also think there were more of those then these WGP bodies.

I just watched that fb video and the part where he says they applied for patent pending really puts me off. The lower tube insert is Fabrice Halmone's idea (meteor paintball). He has been selling it for more than a decade. 9/16 version was talked about in the beginning and discarded as not worth it, other than running C02 it has no benefit. 9/16 valve screwing into an insert is Sterling's patent. zero new ideas.

Why would you try to patent someone else's idea? I wonder if Glen Palmer has anything to say about it? Camille Full circle.

Ccm did the valve insert first. That is how the j12’s were done for the lower tube. 9/16 and held in with the jam nut and everything.

Im pretty sure its a Design Patent. So make the same thing add a few cuts or flutes on the side and you are safe.

                Design patent:
Design patents offer protection for an ornamental design on a useful item, such as its shape, pattern, or surface design, rather than how it works. If you create a new look for an everyday item, a design patent keeps others from copying it. The document itself is almost entirely made of pictures or drawings of the design of the useful item. Design patents are notoriously difficult to search simply because there are very few words used in a design patent.

                Eligibility criteria:
Your design must be new, original, and ornamental. It cannot affect how the product functions. If the design is purely functional, you may need a utility patent instead.

                Duration:
Design patent protection lasts 15 years from the date the patent is granted and does not require maintenance fees.

                Patent examples:
The shape of a bottle or the design of a shoe can be protected by a design patent. In recent years, software companies have used design patents to protect elements of user interfaces and even the shape of touchscreen devices.

I've never seen one before, superman that J12 is identical to their 9/16 version. https://youtu.be/uLGLiIJZKdk?si=O7MJRUZ06YwdC_nI&t=451
