Canada shipping - Pirateship cheaper new option

This is paintball related only in the sense that it helps our Canadian brethren in the BST sense ---

Pirateship has created an inhouse Canadian shipping option that's materially cheaper than existing options. See below for a 6x6x2 from Chicago to Toronto.

Site users have to ask to be opted in (it took 1/2min by chat)

Just mentioning for awareness, I have yet to use it. I'd love to hear from someone how the customs (fees) goes, as I know that's a sticking point when using UPS going to Canada.

Wondering how they work for custom brooker/import fees calculation. If they have a good broker rate that would be even better.

UPS is notoriously bad on this point and charge a crazy amount of fees

This service just offers discounts on the actual shipping services. UPS et al will still use the same double secret formula for ripping us off. They must be salivating at the thought of these tariffs since I'd assume the cost of duty has something to do with how they calculate brokerage fees.

Stopped using UPS years ago to ship to you guys north of the border. Rarely ever use UPS anymore

I got pirate ship to enable this on my account. I used the chat feature, and I never broke character (they like to talk like pirates in chat). They also gave me a $10 credit. Not sure if it was because of how long I had to wait to chat with someone (was supposed to be less than 10 minutes, ended up being over 20), and/or because I talked like a pirate the whole time.
