Only real market for this is the ICPL and other 10 man tournament scene. Force fed loader with a built in timer is cool, and most of those guys likely don’t mind shelling out the money for having the built in timer and rechargeable batteries. If it looked cooler I don’t think it’d be getting as much hate.

Hold up. Anyone else see the feed rate? They are claiming "up to 83 BPS". THAT is pure bullshit. Rotors claim 30 ish, but when I've really pushed them in blind electros they top out mid teens. After that shots start skipping/clipping, and eyes start to become necessary again. Nothing against them either, the rotor is a great loader, imo the best loader for the money that is available. Claiming 83 bps is just pure fucking nonsense. There is no way that hopper can completely dump in under 2.5 seconds. Even claiming that is madness that I refuse to believe without video proof.Comment

Ummm. Rotors claim 50+ and back when they were released dye had an actual video of a modified dm7 shooting 40.Hold up. Anyone else see the feed rate? They are claiming "up to 83 BPS". Since the fire rate was above the frame speed of the camera they had to include the sound signature in the picture so you could see where each ball was being fired at

That makes sense, the rotor is awesome, I was just saying in my experience, you can't run a blind gun at 20 BPS even with a rotor. At least I've never been able to. If the gun has eyes (like a DM7) it can account for the loader feeding faster or slower for a fraction of a second and it's not an issue, but if the gun is blind it can't handle even a slight hiccup in feed rate without chopping.

I like it. Metal feedneck ensures there's no snapping from a hard dive. Charging makes having to carry spare batteries less of a pain in the ass. While I don't care much about the screen, being able to change settings of the loader is awesome. Add to that a ramp with really good springs and the ability to update the firmware, there's a lot of good on this that people are hating on for no good reason.Comment

I wouldn't say it's without good reason though here
Since the introduction of nylon composite shells this has really not been an issue. Not to mention you seem to be thinking this will prevent any feedback from ever snapping. I'm with the comments above, this will likely just move where the snap occurs in a hard enough dive. You have now introduced a joint between the plastic and aluminum, inherently a weak point.
.And what's your plan when it inevitably dies at the field? I can switch out a batterycharging makes having to carry spare batteries less of a pain in the ass
.
.There are cases when you need to change settings, but they are so rare it's not really a feature for however it's done. Hell my spire uses Bluetooth to my phone so I can change settings using a really nice screen. I had to change settings to go to a reball field a month ago, I had look up how to do everything because it was years since I had to change settings last time.. While I don't care much about the screen, being able to change settings of the loader is awesome. Add to that a ramp with really good springs and the ability to update the firmware, there's a lot of good on this that people are hating on for no good reason.
If you find yourself having to change settings so frequently that the screen becomes a feature for it I have to ask what's wrong with the hopper that you need to change settings that often?

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't replace my Spire V. It has everything *I* need, but having another option out there is never a bad thing and I don't consider the rotors as being an option given how frequently they jam (they even have a trigger to move jams).
I have a few pieces of carbon gear and they really are made very well, to the point I don't regret it ask myself if I should go for another option.Comment

Only 83 bps?
I want 84 bps or better. Hard pass. 😑Check out my YouTube channel for overview videos of the WGP Karnivor and WGP Orracle!

I played WCPL a couple weekends ago and ChoSanJuan was using one. The timer & other functions are indeed handy for this sort of event. This loader is waaaaay beyond what any normal and many advanced players would need, but for larger competitive events it certainly has it's place. From what I've seen, the only real downsides to this loader is the small capacity and the price tag.Only real market for this is the ICPL and other 10 man tournament scene. EDIT: Now that I've read the ANS listing, I'm not sure that $300 is too high a price considering you get rechargeable batteries, both a speedfeed and normal lid, and a loader case. Those extra things are often additional when buying other loaders, and if you're planning to buy them anyway...
I'll stick with my Sonic and Revvy but I won't look sideways at this loader, considering what it comes with.Comment

I have to wonder if the smaller modern paint is a contributing factor to the rotors having problems. I have a gen 1 rotor, I didn't even have a shark fin arm when I bought it. So it was right around it's release, late 2000s/early 2010s if my memory is correct. I've never really had any jamming problems, I can only remember a couple of times of even pulling the anti-jam lever.Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't replace my Spire V. It has everything *I* need, but having another option out there is never a bad thing and I don't consider the rotors as being an option given how frequently they jam (they even have a trigger to move jams).

Now that said I really haven't used it all that much in the last 7ish years ever since I got my spire 3, right around it's launch. So I'm sure the paint shrinkage of the last 7 years has gotten worse.
I also own a few pieces of of crbn gear and I have to agree, it's really well built stuff. Yes expensive but well done

I've never noticed anything at least, mine is still all original except for the shark fin arm
Oh and the circuit board but that was around a decade down the road and became a known issue, the boards crapped out around a decade.
