Maybe I'm late to the party. Isn't the Vantage a rebranded Gryphon. And now they made an attempt to make the body a little different. Reminds me of the VL line. 15 or so model names. All basically the same marker. Bodies and internals are interchangeable.

At least Tippmann changed the body appearance. Sure, the Model 98 series, the cronus and the stormer share the similar if not the same internals. The VL line was simply color and name change. They did have the distinct difference of side cock and top cock. But then released multiple models of identical markers in each format. I'll post up my collection of useless but functional VL markers.

I used to work at Guitar center Way back they used to have the sound hole covers that were made out of rubber it said that on the packaging. I had a customer come up to me and ask me about it and I said "No, it only causes cancer if you live in California".

You are correct, which was a cheaper version of the chronos, and the chronos was a cheaper version of the 98

Good golly. ugly does not begin to describe that abomination. Somebody somewhere came home at night and proudly told their kids their lifes work was creating the vantage paintball gun!? I just can't wrap my head around the fact that despite being owned by some money grubbing megacorp, at the end of the day there are employees tasked with developing these products and bringing them to market - its allot of work. it just boggles the mind that this would be the end result.

What's the target market for that one? At that price point for blowbacks (super entry level) I'd expect that the average player to want something milsimish/tacticoolish.

Speaking of Tippmann, did you guys hear rumours that they were discontinuing A-5s and 98s to focus only on cheap plastic guns?

They basically tried to make it look like a planet eclipse spool, instead of, you know, doing the work to make it good

Also, anyone notice the "ultra compatible" section of the features? It's so compatible it works with air, air, nitrogen, nitrogen and co2
