Also, anyone notice the "ultra compatible" section of the features? It's so compatible it works with air, air, nitrogen, nitrogen and co2

tippman knows how to make one design, and only one design. It's worked since the 90s and people keep buying them because they're cheap. Plastic is cheaper, so why not keep doing what has worked?

Hey now, they made the flex valve which wasn't the worst copy of an automag valve ever. The worst part about it was the on/off pin and had they kept producing it I think a generation 3 flex valve could have easily addressed that.

But I do get your point, the inline blowback has been their bread and butter for a long long time

Does this have a bolt out the back design? Or is it a standard blowback like other Tippmann's? Looks like it has an adjustable feedneck (via allen key) which is nice. Ergonomics don't look bad imo.

Hahaha, NO! It does not have anything that would be. Idk. User friendly. Does it have a clamshell body? Yes!

Does it have 2 clamshell bodies? Also yes!

Slather some icy hot on that wrist, your going to need it after removing the something approaching 20 screws just to do regular maintenance

Yeah the griffins are bad enough that I will not buy them to resell and if they are included in a lot, I don't rebuild them. Just test it and if it works sell it for $20 and be honest with my customer

The new Vantage is not a clamshell design like the old Gryphon/Vantage. Everything slides out the back like an A-5 (only the A-5 is a clamshell), Pro-Carbine/Lite/AM, 68 Carbine, Factory F/A, etc.
                I can haz feedback?
If I owe you feedback, just remind me, as I sometimes forget.

Holy crap it is. They did completely redo the body on this. You still have to drop the frame and remove/completely insert the velocity screw before the internals can come out the back but that is a vast improvement over the Griffin.

I may give this thing a chance at $110.

With the raider at $200 tippmann still has some options for the new player

I will never be OK with double triggers on mechanical Tippmanns and Spyders

Hey @tippmann, it was dogwater so I FTFY. Quick sketch and a quick AI coloring job. Same internals and layout.

I actually think the Vantage looks kind of neat, in an imitate-the-high-end kind of way, and I dig the recess behind the trigger to rest your middle finger, but I really wish Tippmann would make the breech section individually accessible, since that's the only part that realistically would need cleaning during the life of the gun.

I've only had to take a Gryphon apart once (kid at the field with a malfunctioning gun) and I definitely got the impression that Tippmann doesn't intend that these things ever get taken apart and cleaned/repaired. It's a paintball gun built as a semi-disposable machine, like a cheap Wal-Mart power drill. The user will probably use it a few times and discard it.

Where's Price when you need him to chop up an image and say it's capable of 50bps FSR from a hopper and gets 8000 shots from a 13/3k
