Anyone have a Orbium tip they could measure for me. Im curious if it can be cut down to Phantom threads.

Im thinking turn the tip down to Phantom and maybe bore it for freak. I’m running an ASP detent body on my Duck Slide build so I could probably get away with just threading it to fit a Phantom. I don’t need the length since it’s going on a pistol setup. But that one with the round dimples would old super cool all anodized up to match.

Maybe I will just get the cool machined cover and fab my own slip fit pieces to mount on a standard phantom barrel. I picked up one of those freak shorties from Doc. But I want to do a longer barrel with a rain cover.

I wonder if the threads are the same as the original whooshes they made. Id like that one with the dots but on my OG one.

So, I reached out to SM and they confirmed that the new shrouds will fit on old tips. He used the exact same threads so it should screw on no problem. So if you happen to own an old OG one then the new shrouds will fit on the old backs.

“Should” isn’t too reassuring. Sanchez stuff varies wildly between batches when it comes to threads

FYI, been talking to him as well. They now offer the shrouds with the tip itself, and he gave me the option for orbium threads or acculock. I went with Acculock since those are easier to get (and cheaper). Not sure when this will ship but it should pair nicely with my karni build.

Shoot me a photo of yours. I lived by Carter and have seen a lot of his stuff.

The CK ones are just all the old Sanchez barrels that Woolf had that were Spyder threaded, cut down to tips I believe. AFAIK this is the first time Sanchez has made a true woosh replica with the big can style.

I tried a couple of different "materials" for science, and so far, the good old Brillo pad works the best. Curious if someone finds something better...

Felt from the fabric store, stitch it together around the barrel ports.

so, this one is completely smooth with no vents or porting. Cocker threaded on the back end and smooth on the front. Does not come apart.
3 parts, front cap, body and back threaded portion.

most carters ive seen have flats milled onto them and are able to unscrew

i probably got ripped off, traded a $350 parts for this.

That might be Carter regardless it’s cool you going to use it? It’s cocker threaded on the back?
