Wait how did you mod the Laz valve?

Is part of the meteor magic an enlarged transfer port from valve to bolt? Is that in all bodies?
reading again, it sounds like the port enlarge is new for this iteration.

The increased chamber volume is a component to the magic. The ability to transfer more volume from the chamber to the ball is another component of the magic. That allows lower pressure, but you can't have your cake and eat it, too. Operating at that low of a pressure will require a higher volume of air to achieve the right amount of energy to launch the ball at 300 FPS.

I did not have samples isolating the larger valve and the larger port. My educated guess, since I could operate the Impulse at 120psi with a similar valve size, using both an (NDZ valve that has a small port) and the (stock impulse valve with a large port), leads me to say the valve size is more important.

"Is that in all bodies?" - only in the new Sniper body. But I am sure this will be the new norm and others will copy.

I end up putting .5mm ptfe tape on just to keep things smooth. It makes sense to keep CNC costs down.

superman I've thought about the same thing/felt the same way, but it seems like the options to achieve that are tricky at best.

I know there are tools that do back spot facing that you *might* be able to use...but I don't know practical dimensions of them and if they would fit for this kind of task. And other than that, I'm assuming you could maybe come up with a CNC tool path that might be able to accomplish it...but that seems a little dicey too. Maybe I'm selling most machinists short though, and it isn't nearly as difficult as I'm thinking. Do you have any idea how to accomplish it that would be feasible here?

Ya I did it on my test body. I would likely do it differently if I was going to do production on them, but it can be done.

I’ve been running bodies with larger transfer tube ports for over a year. It certainly made a difference in lowering pressures. My Big PP Lazarus body was made to match the size of the larger transfer tube so there’s no turbulence caused from having difference size holes matching up. I venture to say without seeing it, that the new bolt is based on the mods I made to accommodate the larger transfer tube also. Again, it’s kinda needed if you want to avoid the turbulence from one hole to the next. With the Lower Pressure, it’s certainly a softer feel(which could be from the Jenni Craig Hammer with softer spring) and must quieter shot.

Man, I'm surprised this is only your first post here.

I was more of a custom cockers page kinda guy but still never posted. And since FB has been the major tool for my business I generally stay over there. Just easier to keep up with everything in one place I guess.

That makes sense. Personally I hate navigating Facebook pages, I feel like it's impossible to find any good technical information on there, but it definitely makes sense to stay there from an active business perspective.

Mine arrived a couple days ago. 1 turn in on the IVG and reg set to 150 psi got me 280 fps. It was really quite consistent as well. Gun was super quiet. This has all the qualities of a gun I would consider a first choice amongst a stable of truly great guns. As long as the color and milling are for you, there is nothing that i feel needs changing. Number one, that’s extremely rare for a cocker with me, and number 2 I would have thought that impossible to do for a sub $600 sniper. I can’t wait to turn it into an autococker. This gun will be awesome. Forget the price, it’s not an indicator of performance level or quality.
