You can still get and use Bob Long guns which are called Field 1 now. But the new ones (Force) are pricey and not the same as the old G6R or Onlaught/Insight. But there are a ton of people still using G6R's on a regular basis. There's always one or two at our field on Sunday's and they are great working guns, but they are going for a lot of money right now. If you like Shockers, they sell the Shocker Era. Similar soft whooshy type shot in a new package. But the PE stuff as everyone has mentioned is the top dog. Reliable beyond compare. I love the LV2. It shoots like an old LV but with new serviceable parts. You can pick one up around $700. Their spools are kind of lifeless but rock solid. The Geo R5 or Gtek 180R's are great deals right now. There's also the DSR+ from Dye. They are a soft shooting gun with the option of a mech frame.

I was just in the same situation after 20 years off, and was blown away by how things have changed. I got an Axe 2.0, and it was great, then a PE 170R and an Etha 3M for mech play and they're even more amazing. I love how easy the PE stuff is to clean and maintain. After most of my life tinkering and fixing what other people break, I've come to realize I just want my stuff to work and not take much effort to keep it all going. I still have cockers to fiddle with after the 5 minutes of cleanup and maintenance is done.Comment
