I tried to wait for these to go on sale or come up used but gave up and got a Ninja 45/4500 plus a v3 Extended reg for far cheaper lol

Do they need hydro?

Everything 4500psi needs hydro and it's 15 year lifespan. The 2" rule only applies to aluminum 3k tanks

I'm glad someone is making carbon wrapped small tanks again, I sure wish the pricing on all tanks would come down though. It's pretty crazy the last few years

Lifespan yes, but they still need to be hydro just like any other tank. The only hydro exempt tanks are aluminum 2” or less diameter and less than 2’ long @ 3k.

From vague memory here so this could easily be wrong don't take it as gospel.

There are iso certs that give tanks the 38 or whatever year life. That doesn't mean all iso certs give a tank that lifespan

As for the 2x2 rule unless I'm mistaken that's a DOT thing so it wouldn't apply to a ISO cert tank.

I don't claim to be an expert on any of this I have a hard enough time keeping what I know from falling out of my brain

I have vague memory of the 35-40 (whatever number it was) lifespan essentially being cancelled. I remember hearing that in relation to the FS Hero tanks, at least.

EDIT: I cannot find where I read that. It would have been somewhere here but my searches all lead to dead ends.

These are all on a pretty big discount right now. The 35ci bottle is 184.95 from 219.95, wish I was in a position to get one
