    New JT Frames

I think it's been discussed here already but with NXL World Cup always comes new gear.

JT is releasing thin frames, as well as a quick lens change frame that look like this but are more...medium? Not thin, not too thick.

There's been a few teaser photos "leaked" but will wait to see the official announcement in a couple weeks.

I could care less about a quick change lens. In my over 30 years of playing I can count the number of times that I've changed a lens at a field on 1 hand. If you know what you're doing it doesn't take much more than a minute or 2 for a lens change on a JT frame anyways.

Agreed. I got it down and it's not difficult when you know what you're doing.

Idgaf about any of the new frames.

    Thins are a fashion/scarcity trend

I hate most qc lenses after I dropped a profiler tab and lost it during a tournament

I bring 3 masks with 3 different lenses to play, I can change lenses quicker than any other goggle by just putting on a different mask

I bring 2 masks anytime I play and 3 if it is really hot out. I hate putting on a wet sweaty mask.

I somehow got caught up in JT masks Lately. Fortunately thanks to my MCB Hoarding tenancies I was sitting on quite a few old thin frames and some OG Proflex bottoms so it didn't cost an arm and a leg to update the foam and pick up some nice clean earpieces, lens and a sweet strap and build out my dream, and I have to say I really like playing in them again after trying some far more expensive options. Like sneakers its crazy how into it people are at the field once you show up with a nice set-up on.

I'm actually really excited about the new system - I got away from JT mostly because I did not like the look. The Proflex X in my eyes was a disaster and really looks goofy. The standard thicker and curvy proflex frames look incredibly dated. if they can actually pull off the OG thin look and finally get away from those tabs that will eventually render all the old thin frames unusable I think it will be a home run.

I'm a clean freak with my masks and often end up with a puddle of paint in the frames at the end of the day so I do remove lenses regularly to clean them. a quick change system that did not feel like your going to tear something every time you remove the lens would be most welcome

Someone posted on the JT booky face BST that they had an opportunity to play with them for a day and JT hit it out of the park with these. Leaked pics look promising. I just pray to Velcor that they will launch in an OG olive!!!!

Nothing beats the breathability and comfort of JT. I wouldn't use anything else. The field of view is plenty and never had problems, I know other goggles have a wider field of view or whatever but JT frames/bottoms are simply the best. On top of that, the most customizable mask ever

I love me some proflex x. It feels comfortable enough with a hat on, and the quick lens swap is so much better than 5 minutes of cursing like a sailor while i try to shove all those tabs in their proper holes. It's especially convenient to clean between games when I bring a bunch of friends with me. I don't have to clean everyone's mask, I can show them how to do it themselves. I could care less how it looks.

When you know how to remove/install a lens into JT frames, it takes under a minute. It's really easy once you figure it out

I'm looking forward to new JT thins hitting the market mostly so that my old thins I actually play in will be at less of a risk of theft.

HK also bringing out frames to go with their RMX lower, so you'll be able to mix and match frames and lowers etc from different companies. Confirmed the upper will be compatible with JT lowers. So if you want quick change with JT lowers but not goofy X looking, that's a thing you can do.

It's a good thing - even if you hate HK, this means more of an ecosystem built around JT masks = more options = more customers = more longevity for the line.

I was thinking about cerokote honestly. Spray paint really don’t hold up to use all that well. I spray painted a bottom in Tiger Stripe and it got flaky after a year of play.

You and me both. I'll occasionally ref a game or two in the early afternoon if I need a break from playing. I'd love to be able to pick up some highlighters for a not-ridiculous price.

I, shamelessly, purchased new proflexes/parts earlier this year, and am kind of disappointed in the newer production frame quality.

One of the new frames were bought a la carte, so they needed a lens. The plastic is less pliable than all my older frames were, when new. I really have to fight getting the lens tabs in the frame slots (more than usual). When just the top tab remained, i literally had to take a break (i usually start at the nose and go up, maybe i should start from the top).

And the foam is different. Doesn't feel less comfortable, but it is different. It's taller along the forehead, extending beyond the frame, for no discernable reason. And the glue is weak; bought a new re-released Proshield 2 yrs ago, and the glue is already failing. Every single one of my 10+ yr old frames still have the original foam.

All to say, I'm probably not gonna be excited about, or impressed by, their new frames.

I agree with you on the foam, but the frame was probably just new and not softer/streched like your old frame

Anyone else see that Facebook reel yesterday where JT is introducing a new quick-change lens system and for reasons I just cannot fathom, bringing back the QLS name?

I seen this and if this is the finished product they Nailed it! I would love a gloss purple frame like this. I think they are only doing black first.

They look awesome. Wonder how stiff they will be though lol. More colors (and probably clears) will likely trickle out as well

Clear frames are too much work to keep clean I definitely prefer the non translucent frames.

QLS thin frames that take standard lenses...... 🤯 hard to find allot of fault with this one. I thought for sure you would have to get new lense so major kudos for that one. no more glued foam either.

Yes these are pretty cool and I'm happy they are considering feedback and trying things people have been asking for. The major things people wanted were clears, ize/ice runs, thins and I'd honestly say easy change lenses below all that and they still are trying to deliver it at least. I'll probably buy a pair because I like proflex stuff.
              Working...
