I grew up playing Greg Hastings Paintball on XBOX. Are there any games worth playing in 2020 for days when I can’t get out to the actual field? Someone suggested 2Dpaintball and I’ve been playing it a bit—really having a blast but just curious if there are any other titles that capture the feel of speed/woods ball worth checking out.

I find pubg especially squads has a very big game feel to it. Use of communication, sound cues etc. I've played with a few of my local PB friends and it really helps communication both in game and on the field. My feedback +38/-0 on old MCB

Digital Paint: Paintball 2 is one I played a bunch years ago, and my 13 yo still does. Has old-school markers as the weapons. Physics aren’t always totally realistic, depending on which room/server one uses, (I wish I could jump that high!) but decent play. Built on the Quake engine, and still seems to have a following. Now with more molecules!

Don't know why, but getting 1-shot in a video game hurts more than getting shot out in real life. I spend way more time playing video games relative to how often i play paintball, so maybe there's some subconscious disconnect I need in order to enjoy both hobbies for completely different reasons.
