And you thought real steel was complex...

Umarex seem to be somewhere between 20 and 30 years behind the rest of the industry when it comes to paintball, but probably right up with the play on home D.

Yeah that loading is dumb. I feel bad for whomever has to buys this because they can't buy a real gun. Id take a regular electric/semi paintball gun or hell even a machete before id take this to a fight.

        Yikes....

That's excessive. And I thought the DSG was goofy to load

MCUS just did a live stream on the HDB (the SPAS-12 looking one).

Feed tube capacity is 16. Stock velocity is in the low 200s.

I'm no longer sure it's a blow forward like the double-barrel- the gun looks like it might actually be double-action as pulling the trigger slowly brings the bolt forward.

Shit it’s not even a pump? That killed my interest

Edit: re-read the thread, never mind.

Be nice to see a shotgun styled pump designed around use for paintball. Spring feed lower tube with the ability to use 10rd tubes to quickly dump paint in the tube at the receiver and not the end of the spring feed, (I think RAP4 had one where you had to single load each shot) and maybe an angled ASA off the back to run 2" HPA tanks with enough clearance for mask. Appearance like a Beretta 1301 with the ASA at the base of the grip angled back to form the stock would be slick.

Looking at the manual and internal diagram for the HDX can anyone tell for sure what the method of operation is? As best I can tell it's a blow-forward but with an "extra" pump-operated bolt in front of the firing plunger. There's not an abundance of blow forward guns in paintball but to my understanding that's not at all how a pump mag works.

Latest information about the Spas semi version is on MCS website. Appears to have the co2 pressurized button like the TR50. This gives me the thought that William the Thirds velocity mod may fit this gun. Now we just need them to send me my damn gun. The release date keeps getting pushed back. I may be too old to leave the house without a nurse by the time it finally ships.

Teardown video, showing that a.) this pump is essentially a blow-forward, and b.) that even removing the barrel requires about a dozen tiny screws to be removed.

Jesus, 3 pages about a SPAS and no "Clever Girl" mention? I'm disappointed.

On a more serious note, if it were pump, and used 12 grams, that would be super bad-@$$ to use in a stock-class game.
