New CK K7R Open and Closed Bolt Marker

Contract Killers released a marker. It's a "dual drive", which means can use open or closed bolt systems, as well as mechanical frame capable.

It's annoying he keeps referring to it as an Autococker with the closed bolt drive, and how it will be MORE ACCURATE FLAT SHOT so you can DROP SHOTS ON THAT GUY you wouldn't be able to with the open bolt spool.

Claim they made a custom proprietary solenoid that is better than anything, but who knows how reliable that will be.

Really expensive though, $1700.

I liked my droid but later model MacDev stuff just felt like a swing and a miss with little parts availability

I listened to the episode of Tyler and Marcello's podcast that featured the John Brinkman guy in the linked CK video. He recently moved the Hurricanes to my hometown and I was curious to see what his deal was. Needless to say I was not impressed with any of what he said, and he mostly came off as a used-car salesman - much like he does in the video above. Marketing your product with "accuracy" or "long range" in 2026 should be an immediate red flag for anyone who regularly uses both halves of their brain.

Should is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Newer players who buy tournamnet guns, who dont know how to even grease their gamma core properly are their marketing demographic im sure.

If you look past the terrible video, the concept of having 2 completely different engines has only been done by the great Bob Long and that worked out well. I can honestly say closed bolts (Autocockers, Blazers, Excaliburs, pumps) all have a shot I really enjoy shooting, even if I'm a die-hard Automag guy. I look forward to seeing & trying this gun. I hope it lives up to his hype.

YAY! A proprietary solenoid that won't be available in a few years. Hopefully it's at least rebuildable, though that will only prolong the inevitable.
