HK Army Compressor is rebranded Tuxing + AI slop

A couple things about the new HK compressor:

1. It’s AI slop. You can tell bc the AI photos added an “oil fill” open hole (its an oilless compressor) and “water drain” that don’t exist on the real compressor (see the top down photo, no water drain is visible)

edit- oil fill hole might be real lol


2. I also know its AI slop bc the real product is actually a rebranded Tuxing TXET063 compressor.

Thanks Jsc5150, I suspected it was a branded unit that has been available. I guess I hoped it was similar to a comparably priced one. Nice markup, they’ll probably sell a decent bit just through the advertising aspect.

Honestly, I'm just surprised they didn't continue to follow the lame trend of dropping vowels. They could have called it the "R BS" and "R CMPRSSR"... hmmm... almost seems fitting...

on the whole, im kinda glad to see the old shoebox compressor idea come back, but i wonder if it will be financially viable, cause the shoebox wasnt.

I have one of the smaller units, ~$135ish from aliexpress and fill home tanks for bench test use --- it's slow, the tampon moisture filter is likely insufficient and out of caution I only fill to ~3500 and that's done in 2 stages with a cooldown.

I *need* an air source. Between one of these and an 80L scuba tank, this seems more practical/affordable long term though I don't have high expectations of longevity
