Forums marked as unread

It probably goes without saying that the little speech bubbles next to subforums will light up when there's a new unread post in that subforum. I've noticed several times now that subforums will change to unread (meaning the bubble lights up) without a new post. For example, both the Alien and Tribals subforum in the Armory keep marking themselves as unread after a week or so, even though there have been no new posts. Heck, the most recent post in the Tribals subforum was from me. They basically can't be trusted as a meaningful notification the check a subforum anymore.

This is still an ongoing problem. I'll see a lit up forum subsection and get excited, thinking someone's posted in the Avratech section, or the Tribal section, or whatever, only to find that the forum is just doing this again. It would be great if this could change.
