Pages are stuttering...?

Suddenly every page on the site is stuttering:

• Page loading stutters
• the Smilies stutter
• typing in the text fields has a stutter (most noticeable issue here...)

Also noticed that the page resource usage is extremely high at ~15% CPU when normally tabs are ~2% or less. I'm going to clear the cache and see if that fixes it. Strange one, though.

Solved it... the Firefox extension "Dark Reader" was causing the issue.

After trying the available dark style, I went back to Dark Reader. For anyone else affected, you can fix the issue by going to Dark Filter menu > "More" tab >"Theme generation mode" and set it to anything except Dynamic. It's not nearly as appealing, but it's far better than the native Dark theme.
