    MCB Maintenance

    Hi all,

Just a quick note that I'm doing some system upgrades this afternoon (4/25) which are security and other patches. Server will most likely reboot afterwards.

Howdy all. There are a slew of security updates to install so I'll have to restart the MCB server either late tonight or early tomorrow morning (12/13) I'm aiming for tomorrow AM. Just a heads up... Should only take a few minutes.

And done. Server seems a little pokey lately. It'll take some digging into logs and such to figure out.

Minor upgrade and maintenance was just performed. Only lasted about 6 minutes, so sorry for the non heads up for those of you that saw it. Was an emergency upgrade/patch to keep us safe. We are good to go!

                      Hi all.

Just a heads up that I'm going to be upgrading the MCB server to have more memory, faster vCPUs, along with a few other behind the scenes items. So, the downtime really should be no more than a few minutes. Shut it down, assign more memory, upgrade a config, reboot.

I know that the email alert thing is still an issue, but I can't find the login to make changes to DNS. Carter and I need to get together on that one issue.

Note that I didn't say when this is going to happen. For many people, the upgrade will have happened by the time they read this...

I just checked the "members online" count and it's at 226 plus 20,000 unlogged in bots. Maybe I'll wait until later tonight. I don't know... Most of our users are Eastern US but, of course, there are always members online 24/7...

Anything that required a server reboot is done. Took about 2 minutes... Whew!

Alright. There is one more server reboot to do but I'll schedule that for early AM. Restart only takes a minute or even less now.
