Very glad to be here, this community has always been welcoming. I've been lurking a long time, with a roughly decade long hiatus from serious cruising. From a fresh faced 13 year old to a bitter slightly grizzled 32 year old with more expendable funds. Can't wait to see what's new and what's next.

Been here a while and finally decided I’d look mean in green. So I handed over the green.Originally posted by Chuck E Ducky:

I was green, now I'm not. My member subscription renewed via PayPal on 8/7/25, so no idea why it has ended early.Comment

Shoutout to FredMnkyDad10 for bribing me with a Twistlock barrel to sign up for the green. I wasn't even sure how or where to sign up and that it was so cheap to support the site. Going lifetime when my dues are up!Comment

Hey Carter, I'm reposting as my note above from a month ago hasn't gotten any traction. Not sure what happened, but my membership status went from green to blue. My member subscription renewed via PayPal on 8/7/25, so no idea why it has ended early. Any help is appreciated. Gracias in advance.Comment

Yeah, so paypal changed everything. vbulletin is end of life on 5.x.x and I will need to upgrade to 6.x.x according to them. Paypal ignores it. So I'll have to upgrade or manually change the page and manually edit memberships as needed. It's not that big of a deal, but of course it's not simple.
Just post up and I'll fix it and tackle this sometime next week.I am the admin...Comment

PayPal likely has encryption and security requirements that simply aren’t met in an old piece of software. Considering it handles payments from people and companies all over the globe, tight security requirements seem appropriate, although I understand it’s obnoxious.
Painthappy best of luck, sir. Installing major releases can be a lot of work. And a lot of bug hunting.
