I have this issue with pages loading where the home page loads for me perfectly & all forums, but if I select notifications and then select the little drop-down to view my notifications, the page that loads is blank. I used to see a pattern that it would only do this before 12 PM and so I would be able to load my notifications in the afternoon but now it seems to have become more random. like right now if I hit notifications and the drop-down, I get a blank screen. I’ve tried safari & chrome. 🤷🏼♂️

Ihamilton has a thread on this same issue going. This is an issue I see a lot as I live on the forums pretty much.
What I've determined is that every once in a while we get a bad notification from the forum, and your only way around it is to manually open the thread it's generated from.
So I JUST cleared this error. I had 1 notification, and a bad link to the notifications tab.
I noticed the " what did you get in the mail" thread was at the top level on the main page, so I assumed my bad link came from a new post in that exact thread. Clicking the " what did you get in the mail" thread opened the thread to a new post. My notification cleared, and that fixes the error.
You essentially need to find the thread that is generating your bad notification link, and open it manually. That'll clear the notification, and clear the error until next rime it happens.

With 28, it's gonna be tough.. you simply need to click the banner, and click threads you know you are subscribed to to hopefully clear the bad notification.
I usually just deduct from the " top level" posts after clicking the banner to load the homepage. If iflts something I know I've subbed to, and it's visible at that page, it's a likely candidate.

From what you’ve described, it seems like it could be related to how the site’s handling requests for the notification list. One thing to try is clearing your browser cache. Sometimes, outdated files can cause conflicts with new updates on the site
For Chrome: go to menu then “More tools” > “Clear browsing data.” select "Cached images and files."
For Safari: Go to “Safari” in the menu bar, then “Preferences” > “Advanced” and check the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar." Then go to “Develop” > “Empty Caches.”
As for that blank screen, it might also be worth checking if any browser extensions are causing interference. Try disabling them temporarily to see if that helps.
Also, since you mentioned the timing of the issue, it might be a server-side problem that’s affecting certain users at different times. 🤔
