Vintage Rex PMI Trracer entry?

I was surprised to find in Vintage Rex that there was no entry for the PMI Trracer (not to be confused with the subsequent Empire Trracer). There's lots of fond references to them in the Forum even now, and I remember an issue of APG covering their release (incl. something about them being named after a person's nickname). Bacci's site has one or two of them for sale ATM, which might be a good point for reference pics if he allows for it.

I've got no stake in it. The gun came up in a discussion on Reddit (thanks to paintballphotography.com's recent retro 'outlaw' game postings), I came back here to establish when it was released and, couldn't find it.

I’m not sure how I never noticed that since I’m a huge fan of the Trracer. That gun sold 200,000+ units, IIRC, and is actually good. It should be there.

There is also next to no info on Sterling.

Is there specific information you are looking for? The PMI Trracer and the ACI Trracer are the same marker.

I was looking for release information, historical stuff not technical. That's curious about the ACI model. The name comes from an employee at PMI but, if I remember correctly didn't ACI have a good relationship with PMI?
