Quick update: The best I can find for a thickwall tubing for a brass AA-style tip, is about $50. Plus a collar soldered on for the threads, we're looking at basically $60 for a 14" tip, just in materials.

The AA drilling I'll have to do manually- drill, move mill table, drill, move mill table, etc.

Bottom line? A 12" to 14" AA style tip is going to be $125 to $150.

If anyone's still interested at that price point, I'll be happy to make some- I'm gonna make one for myself, regardless - I just wanted to be up front about the costs. I may do another proper preorder on this one... Let me know what you think.

            Hey Doc,
I'm just now seeing this post. Any chance that you have an XL back left?

I have two unclaimed blanks left- and, I still have two more, for an MCB'er who paid, but did not specify what style and type they wanted, and has still not yet responded to multiple PMs. I suppose I ought to just refund the payment at this point...

Anyway, just let me know what you'd like and I'll cut 'er for ya. AC thread, XL tips, straight or profiled? Plain or polished?

Oh, and still keeping the AA tips in mind, gents, just booked pretty hard on existing work right now. Hoping to get to 'em soon!

*Clutches chest in pain* I just saw THIS. I PM'd you about it, but I never thought to check here. If you have any rolling around, I'd love a straight profile, AC, Freak XL, Polished. Or literally anything AC threads. Also want an OG AA tip once those are cut.

Won't let me DM you just yet but:
If you still have any- I'd like one of the brass freak backs. Autococker threads. Prefer straight but will take anything you have available!

Well lemme ask you gents this: Would it be worth doing another run? I can pick up more material, but given my fiances, we'd have to do it as another pre-order.

I'd probably need at least 20 orders- that is, backs, assuming somebody buys more than one- and given jumps in metals prices, I'd wager the raw material price probably went up 10-20% since the initial run.

Don't send any money yet, let's see if there's any interest first.

                    Doc.

I'm just stumbling onto this post now.... I'd buy one for sure. I'd be down for a complete barrel with the understanding it may be over 3 bills.

Oh shit I didn't know you did a milled version of the brass 5" freak backs. If you do another run of a milled down version I'd be interested.

I’m interested in a straight back. No real interest in a tip at this time.
