Sheridan rebuild kit (With 3D printed face seal)

Hello MCB,

I am finally offering Sheridan rebuild kit; This is for the non-cartridge vale (the cartridge valve is coming soon).
They do not include a cup seal/stem. I may add the o-ring needed to rebuild them if people request it.

All shipping will be in a regular envelope (I can ship priority mail if buyer pay shipping).
For our friends north of the border, add $2.00 to the total to cover shipping expanse.

There is 2 “version” of the kit, the PGP (short bolt, 1 o-ring bolt) and the PMI (long bolt, 3 o-rings bolt). If you are not sure which kit to get, let me know, I can help you figure it out.

Here is the content of the PGP (short bolt, 1 o-ring bolt) kit:
- 3D printed 12g seal (install with shiny side toward the 12g)
- Valve front o-ring (1 piece)
- Valve rear o-ring (1 piece)
- Bolt o-ring (1 piece)
- Feed tube plug o-ring (same as bolt)



Price: $7.00 for the first set, $5.00 for each additional shipped and PP in an envelope.
So, 1 set is $7; 2 sets are $12.00; 3 sets are $17 and so on ...

Here is a little "How-To" on installing the face seal:

1 - Remove the old seal.
I like to use a pick for this, get all the old stuff out, and clean it. Be carful not to damage the front metal part, it is shaped to hold the seal in place.



2- Start putting the new seal in. Shiny side toward the 12g.
The seal is larger than the front of the opening, it will need to be squized in. A small needle noise plier works great for this.
Make sure not to scratch or cut the seal.



3 - This is not in all the way.
You can see part of the seal protruding from the side and the top is not flat.




4 - press the seal all the way in.
a 12g is great for this step (sorry for the wired crop)



5- This is how it looks properly installed:

What oring does the cupseal take? I may have to try to rebuild my Dynavalve.

also curious, with the potential shortage coming i may need to start rebuilding some of the dead cupseal stem pile

chplnstone - I've been using a 009-90 buna seal with success, although I wonder if urethane might be a better material.

I checked my notes and its a P5 oring.
It still holding up in the 3 Sheridan i did it to. Ill add it to the kit next time i restock 👍

It's a tough fit - I used a face seal that Alexndl printed for me on a cartridge valve and had to trim a little to make it work.

The threaded hole for the frame screw lets the seal mush out into that hole and makes it hard to seat properly.

I recently found my old PGP in the garage and it appeared to be in really good shape but when I inserted a 12g into it the seal looks to have failed as all of the co2 came rushing out. Do you still sell the seal replacement kit?
