    Homemade Jelly/Jam

I've been making/selling home made jelly, jam, and syrups using local ingredients that I've foraged from the local area. I don't use any store bought fruit, with the exception of peaches for my peach/ghost pepper jam (where the ghost peppers are locally sourced). Everything else are berries, fruit, and flowers that I have picked myself. I have now started a new program called "Jam for the Troops". The proceeds for my jam sales now go to a local USO where I volunteer. This USO services hundreds of soldiers in training status every year, and offers them some snacks, creature comforts, and time away from the drill sergeants. Despite some people's perceptions that everything in the Army is soft, a lot of these guys and gals still have a pretty tough time in training and having some hotdogs or a bag of chips while watching TV for an hour can make a big difference.

Let me know what you are interested in and I will check my inventory since I sell locally and don't make huge batches of this stuff. Everything is canned in a clean environment using the water boiling method, not the oven baking method. Prices do not include shipping, I will ship your item and then charge you actual shipping. I noticed that the post office forces me to use priority mail sometimes and "normal" parcel other times, based on the zip code it is going to.

I will be away for work from July 24 to August 10 but I can process orders after that. Let me know if you have any questions.

Mulberry Jam (Best seller!) 4 oz, $4 8 oz, $7 or bulk, 4 8 oz jars for $25

    Mulberry Jelly 8 oz, $8

    Hibiscus Jelly 8 oz, $8

Hibiscus Syrup (Add to tea/cocktails) 800mL (BIG!) $10

Beauty Berry (Rare! Natural, cinnamon type flavor) 4 oz, $5, 8 oz, $9

    Blackberry 8 oz, $8

Up, with some new product updates. I have PLENTY of mulberry and if it's something you are really interested in, I could work a bulk deal with you. All of the jams are now being sold to benefit the local USO which supports our military members.

Hey folks, I was on a business trip for two and a half weeks with almost no internet, my bad. Yes, I will sell ghost pepper/peach! I have an 8 ounce jar and a 6ish ounce jar (IDK, weird shape/brand) I'll sell for 16 + shipping. Thanks to everyone that has purchased jelly/jam so far, I met with the USO rep recently and she was very excited about the extra snacks that this money can purchase for the soldiers that visit the center.

I would love to try the ghost pepper and peach, that's my kind of... jam. I will also take 4 jars of mulberry jam and a jar of blackberry please. I shared my last purchase with the family and they are hooked!

Glad they liked it Johnny, I'd stay away from Hobbe's jelly too, it sounds very...protein packed. I'll get a box from the post office today to see what I can fit in there.

Should be caught up on orders. From now on, I'm going to suggest ordering multiple jars and I might be able to do some small discounts for certain volumes. Shipping costs are crazy. I try to find the smallest boxes I can but sometimes that ends up being more expensive flat priority flat rate for some reason. Certain states require priority shipping anyway from where I'm at, so it's kind of a crap shoot on the best shipping options. I don't feel right charging an arm and a leg for shipping, but I also need to have enough money to pay myself back for the jars and then some reasonable profit back to the USO.

I have a TON of mulberry still. Also going to have some more paw paw butter available soon. Paw paw is a native fruit to the US but it has virtually no commercial market. It has a smooth, pudding like texture and, when cooked down with sugar, has a light tropical, banana-type taste. I've eaten this right on toast and its fantastic.

Look into getting USPS regional rate boxes. Regional rate A is larger than a small flat and regional rate B is larger than a medium flat rate. In some cases they are also cheaper to send than the small or medium flat rate boxes. I ship all of my honey orders in regional rate boxes. Regional rate A ranges from about $8-12 and B is from $12-18 I believe. The cost is based on how far away you are shipping them. The boxes are free and you can order them online and they will drop them off at your door. The one catch to regional rate is you have to pay for shipping and print the label at home. If you do it at the post office it costs way more. I haven't figured out how to print regional rate labels directly through paypal so I do it through the USPS website.

Paw paw sounds interesting. Can you save me a few jars. I'll get them with my next order.

Regional rate boxes are great. I didn’t know about the home printing but they’re still cheaper than normal priority or flat rate in my experience

Hey folks, I have a few jars of paw paw now, mostly 8 ounce jars. I also have another batch of blackberry on the way, as well as a bunch of wild apple jelly that I've been processing.

Paw paw sounds extra tasty. Do you have any of the beauty berry left? That sounds really interesting.
