Is there a specific 98 bolt you had in mind? Most of the aftermarket ones perform significantly worse then stock, but a few were actually pretty good. I always like the ones with the internal "O" Ring for improved efficiency, but they did require you to lightly sand the power tube. -

Absolutely correct. I almost always throw some type of RVA on my tippmanns, even if it's just a set screw with a lock nut, then loctite the IVG all the way open and adjust the velocity through the RVA. Usually swap out the valve spring too, and drill out the gas line a bit for extra volume. If it's a 98 I'll throw a carbine valve front in it while swapping out the spring for a touch more volume as well.Comment
