Product Idea (Swivel Elbows w/ 1/8NPTF Output)

I despise macroline. I like steel braided hose but having the elbow in a fixed position is a pain. I'd love to have a swivel elbow with a 1/8NPTF output.

This idea was already done by Extreme Rage but aren't rebuildable and are at an age where they're failing. My idea is to use a banjo bolt (a la CCM/Nummech) and just have the banjo port threaded instead of PTC like macro.

Just throwing the thought out there. It's something I'd be interested in (as would a few others I'd heard from). If you have the means and are interested in making some please let me know.

What would having a swivel improve? Are you thinking swivel-under-pressure, or just being able to position the hose easier?

I'm trying to think of an application - Ion regs, yes, but most of those regs get tossed anyways.

Something like the UEFs that PPS uses on their brass semis could work, scaled up to work with 1/8"npt.
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

The idea is mostly for my mag. I'd like to be able to use the same valve on different bodies with different hose setups. It also makes it easier to set up the hose so that it's angled correctly for a bend.

That's precisely the use I would put such an item to as well. I'd love to see these get made.

i have a small stash of the extreme rage ones unused, i realize pretty much anything would be a lot better designed, but if you need a few of the old ones i can help.

i still have all my steel braided stuff (2.5-4 inch hoses and QD's), i only stopped because the good new ASA designs were getting increasingly harder to run steel with (POPS being the main culprit)

I would like to see a nice clean 45* and 90* for coated braided line. I want something to replace the Macro and fittings on my Stock Class CCM setup for 12g play. But I don’t want to go with the bulky over sized brass fittings to do it. I thought about cutting some down to clean them up but I don’t know how safe that would be.

These seem to be the cleanest ones I can find. Maybe if I polish the brass up a bit. But I wish I could find smithing a lil nicer maybe something I could anodize.

Swivel would be cool but I don’t really see it necessary braided hose isn’t all that flexible and I would not want the braided hose rubbing on anodized surfaces anyway. That’s why I like the coated stuff.

Found a 45* swivel comes in stainless to.

I can't find the exact part number, but I think this company makes what your looking for.

Yes they do thank you. The profile is a bit large and they look to use proprietary seals, but these would definitely work.

Still wish they made them with the Nummech/CCM style banjo though.

Find a push-connect with a 1/8" NPT banjo bolt (for $6), then machine a new banjo with a NPT thread. That way, the complicated part is already done.

Funny you said this because I have been looking to do exactly that. Already found the banjo bolts and some possible saddles that are made of brass.

Ya that's basically what I had in mind. Nummech, CCM and Azodin all make rebuildable macro fittings with banjos. I just don't have the expertise or equipment to make this kind of thing.
