Slightly modified stock frame. I got to figure out how to run an essay but I might just throw a wire stock on it for starters with a remote line

I think a simple angled ASA would look the best, drill two holes in the fame and either tap those or mount (square) nuts behind them.

An angled ASA is great, the only problem is is on the bottom of the stock Sheridan frame it’s a very strong angle. I don’t have any a essays or know of any that would correct that to bring the bottle straight or even a downward

There is a wedge you could use but that frame may have issues supporting an ASA and tank. Someone here modified one for a bottom mount. It was a process tho. Maybe hit up Doc I think it may have been him.

another thought I had was using a tippmann tmc asa. That has a very strong angle and you gould either thread the top for a fitting to route your line through a grip panel out the top past either side of the frame or plug it and drill and tap the side for a fitting.
It would be challenging to mount, but at the same time quite unique

Well we have it all fitted together and the pump stroke is smooth except the hammer is really rough when caulking. This is one of those hammers that are not the original PGP hammers but I think it’s a PGP 2K hammer that’s lightened a little bit. It has the classic two clicks to cock it all the way but it’s definitely rough when compressing the spring.

I like to use a healthy coat of dow33 on the hammer, to make sure it stays lubricated

Also if you haven’t removed the ball detent on the bolt. The return spring on that ID pump handle should do the same job. It will make the bolt grab the top tube less and a lot smother.

Since you are using a Sheridan frame, why not use a Palmer's UMB to mount a bottomline? More support that way....

Well palmers is sort of on my shit list right now. I ordered some thing from them a few weeks ago and sent them email after email and phone calls and there was no response. Hasn’t even shipped yet if it ever comes through I’ll consider it. But as for now I think I got it figured out

Well she’s done . She fires and cycled , but I still have a bad valve leak. Gotta figure out maybe a better way to seal the front block to the valve face.

Fixed half the leak , just have to re tap the from frame screw into the valve face and then retap the Asa block for an additional screw . She will be out next weekend on the field !

So I took her to the field today , only was getting 130 fps. Not sure why, I do have the newer pgp2k hammer , which is lighter , and I have a valve stem and spring from an old non cartridge valve pgp. Could that be it ? I thought they were the same. Either way I feel like I either need to insert kris the hammer wait, or try to find a regular PGP hammer, or lighten the valve spring in the valve

Whats your air source? I assume an hpa tank with that asa set up? You could try a co2 tank for the grins of it. Co2 is more dense.

You have a pierce pin still on the valve? If you plan on using it constant air for good, cut the pierce pin off for starters. You may also have to open the valve up, and sometimes the transfer hole ( between the body and barrel). But Id start with just the pin if you never plan on using it on 12ies again ( seems to be the case).

Then from there it could be the shorty barrel, springs, ect, but start with the easy stuff.

Most sheridans I have have no issue hitting 300 on hpa, with their original springs, but the valves are all opened up.

Took your advice , threw in a palmers dyna. Alive with the puncture pin removed and was sitting at 265 almost every shot, extremely consistent. Shot it at the field for a while and she was a beauty. Just that little bit of powder coat in the tip of the barrel may have threw off the accuracy a little bit she shot great.

Try a flex hone or some citrus-strip on that powder coat. Looks awesome!
